http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3157570.stm The happiest Nigeria Mexico Venezuela El Salvador Puerto Rico The least happy Russia Armenia Romania US 16th Britain 24th
And El Salvador went through a twelve year civil war, 20% of its population has left the country, and it's beset by povery, earthquakes and political corruption. But I lived there, and it's true: that's the happiest populace I've ever seen.
Puerto Rico is part of the US. Therefore, the happiest place on earth is the US........why was Puerto Rico included as a country?
Re: Re: World Happiest Countries. Everybody knows that P.R. is the 6th borough of New York City. Therefore, New Yorkers are the happiest people in the world.
Yeah - there seem to be thousands of Nigerian "princes" with money tied up in Swiss bank accounts who, with just a few thousand dollars from friendly Americans, can claim their bounty. This used to be done through the mail pre-internet, so they must really prize e-mail in Nigeria. It's what makes them so happy. And the legal right to throw rocks at women until they die of course.....
Puerto Rico is Puerto Rico, the USA is the USA. The majority of Puerto Ricans feel that PR is not the same thing as the US and consider themselves to be Puertoricans first and then americans if they even do at all ( a lot of people including me don´t feel to be american at all). Im Mexican and Puerto rican so I should ba among the happiest person around and would be had the Braves not lost yesterday.
Is that why a whole 2.5% of Puerto Ricans voted for independence in the last election? Do the Puerto Ricans who travel back and forth to and from the US really want to have to get a visa every time they do so?
Re: Re: Re: Re: World Happiest Countries. And that's just the women . No hold on, that'll be the female chinese swimming team.
When the hell did I say that they wanted to be independent. I said they don´t consider PR and the US to be a whole. That is why Statehood never wins and why the Statehood party has always campaigned a Statehood with both languages as official, and continuing participation of Puerto Rico in olympic competitions and other stuff like that.
Some americans are real bitter about losing this poll. If you really want to get to the top you can all make a movement to buy me a house in LA and another one to get to me to start banging Eliza Dushku. I´ll be happy enough to get the US to number 1.
As a Liberian friend of mine once said, "I would not trust a Nigerian if he told me it was daylight and my watch said it was 12PM. - I'd have to look outside before believing him." I sometimes wish I could throw rocks at my girlfriend, but I'm not Nigerian so I am unhappy.
This 2006 World's Happiest Countries seems more accurate: http://travel.comcast.net/h/buzz/view?dt=I&t=5916&code=&cvqh=travel_canadahappy http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/oct2006/gb20061011_072596.htm
For the PR, it is time for them to either shit or get off the pot. They should decide if they want to be a state or their own nation.
World Happiest Countries/Cities This survey was from 2003! Maybe it's me, but that looks like a list of the world's happiest cities!
Yes, they should. Time for them to decide what future they want instead of going the path they are now. I would be happy to have them as state 51 or have them as their own country.
