Well reported by a blogger on new york red bulls fourms there is a huge financial crisis in brazil this crisis can shut down the brazilian soccer league an a influx of talanted players will storm United States soil if clubs like our Seattle Sounders will pony up the cash but with so many players they will be cheap an i mean very cheap so something to look for heres a link if u cant understand google it an they will translate. http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia/71382/afecta-la-crisis-a-clubes-brasilenos/
If the economy gives some Brazilians the impetus to look abroad it *could* be good for MLS. Many second tier players there are probably a good fit with MLS, but will MLS teams and scouting departments have a clue? I'm not too confident.
OMG - this could be fantastic! I've been waiting my whole life to see a team of divers in a soccer costume!
Considering those "divers" are the greatest soccer nation on planet Earth, it would suit me just fine too. Argentina on the other hand, and I'll wince everytime they touch the ball for our squad.
Me loves to mock the rumors but I will gladly accept anyone who will play with heart. That is my only requirement. It might be a wee bit higher for Freddie though. He'll need to play with heart and get some results.
Yeah but their last scouting trip didn't mine any prospects (yet), so right now I don't have to worry, but for how long? It worries me silly. I do loathe Argentine soccer though, I root vociferously against their clubs in Copa Liber (one of my favorite tournaments). So you're jumping the gun a little there GS, slurping the corporate gruel before it is cooked, can I just call you "slurpee", "slurpee the goodly corporate citizen"? No...yeah, you're right, no ring to it at all. We should be looking at Ecuador, chalk full of talent we could mine for a fair price.
