I saw that on FSC last night. Is Cancun time the same as ours? That's a little late, I might only stick around for the first half..... Just kidding. But why so late, do they have night classes at their stadium too? And what's up with the Dynamo getting to play so early on a week night? Is there some holiday or something?
The Mexican TV networks seem to like the late starts. Maybe it is also good for attendance, I don't know. Look at the group stage, most of the Mexican team games were at 9 pm. There is also a good chance of a TV doubleheader on Tuesday and Wednesday night that week with four quarterfinals going on. I have no idea why the Dynamo home game gets to be so early. It's not Spring Break or anything at UofH. Once again, though, that 7 pm start fits in with the TV doubleheader idea.
that's strange. mediotiempo says 20:00 (8pm), but the Dynamo site says (9pm). as far as i know Cancun and Houston should be in the same time zone in March.
We have 13 guys on the books for the trip down there already. There will likely be more than that. I'd say 20-25 people is a reasonable guess and maybe even 30. With that in mind, we really need to work with the Atlante front office to get us all placed together and get us appropriate security.
Cancun and Houston are the same time until March 8 in 2009. That's the start of DST next year. I think 9 pm is right. They are not paragons of accuracy but that's what CONCACAF says
