Weclome back to the bench Freddy.

He hastily cleared a ball outside of the box for a corner that results in a goal.

    ahahahahahhahaha

and Freddy may have just singlehandedly ended Ricardo's career with ASM

Freddy handed possession away for the goal. wow.

Whatever, shit happens and the goals were not his fault. He gave away possession in the second goal but the defense was still there and they did nothing. How is that Adu's fault?
he was fouled on the play too.

I do agree that this about wraps up Adu's career in Monaco, whatever.

Oh and the corner was deflected by the Bordeaux player and the Ref completely missed it.

The faster he gets away from Monaco the better.

lol, Adu helps Bordeaux come back and win it 4-3, De Bontin (or some ASM official) pictured flapping his arms, exasperated.

I would not, at all, be surprised if Ricardo were fired after this match. Perhaps he'll get leniency because of his short squad, but this is the type of loss that gets managers fired.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, I've been very critical of Ricardo for a variety of reasons, but Freddy was not good. Sure, he was played at LW and given a lot more defensive responsibility than he should, but he was a big part of those last two Bordeaux goals.

Still, I'd really love it if Freddy's contribution helped getting that douche fired.

    That was a necessary clearance.

Anyone know what was up w the lengthy stoppage time after Cavenaghi was carded for taking his shirt off on the go-ahead goal?

There were several minutes of down time. Then the clock (on whatever French feed I was watching) said 4 minutes would be added. By the time the ref finally allowed the game to restart it was 2 minutes into stoppage time and he blew the whistle one minute later.

Only watched the last 5 minutes (plus the non-action of stoppage time) but it has to go down as an epic collapse.

Eh, it's not like the mistakes could cost him that much given that he barely played anyway. On to the next team, I suppose, where Freddy just has to keep working towards realistic goals.

Freddy did not play well, but he should not be blamed for either goal.

    You can today.

Gave up an unecessary corner that tied the match and then got stripped and bullied off the ball for the game winner for Bordeaux.

If anything, Adu's appearance today probably cemented his tuckus to the bench.

I thought so as well. I would have been inclined to praise Adu for that particular play.

Monaco should be a realistic goal for him though.

He lost the ball around the opponents 15 yard line. If he's blamed for them going 85 yards in the other direction and then scoring then the coach really is out to get him.

tbh, all I noticed was that Freddy was playing a lot of defense. And also, that when Freddy did try to bring the ball forward, he'd pass to someone (nice little triangle pass) and that the ball wouldn't come back to him. Freddy would be left standing there watching a Monaco player run off with the ball and then give the ball away because it would be 1 Monaco player vs. 4 defenders.

Amazing the lack of use of what Freddy is actually good at. You'd have to say that Monaco has no use for him, no interest in him and aren't making the slightest effort to incorporate Freddy into their game. So, in games like today, when they could have used Freddy's skills, no luck.

    What a shame.

Adu is really not wanted anywhere is he?

    Benfica doesn't want him back.

Monaco doesn't appear to want him.

    Excellent fix.

Can't blame him for the first goal at all. Sure as hell can't blame him for the second goal, when he was dispossessed 80 yards up the field. Geesh
