These Mexican narrators are so biased and awful, but the English language broadcast is 2 minutes behind, so I'm forced to listen to this completely delusional perspective. Every player from Liga should have been given a red card at some point in the game, according to these crackheads.

BTW the game is not over so anything can happen, but I think Mexican teams should use this international experience they've had in the past decade to learn that they need to be able to vary their style of play by adding speed on the wings and more physical presence on defense.

WE ARE ON THE CUSP OF GLORY MY FRIENDS...WE WILL BE PLAYING ANOTHER FINAL!!!! WE HAVE THE PIECES TO WIN IT, IF THE TEAM IS HUNGRY AND READY!!!!!!!!! WE WILL PREVIAIL!!!!!!!!!!!

on another note, did anybody catch that racist gaffe that the Mexican announcer made about Pachuca's chances being darker than Bolanos?? was I the only one outraged by that lack of class and tact??? seriously...

Liga always represents Ecuador proudly in these international tournaments. This was a master class in efficiency - score 2 early goals and then hold and counter. Despite Pachuca's possession, they only had a couple of clear-cut chances at most.

Bolan~os will not stay in Ecuador much longer, he needs to show his stuff in Europe. I would also love Manso to become Ecuadorian, he's exactly the player the national team is lacking.

Regarding the Mexican announcers, I try not to hear them, but it really does take away some of the enjoyment out of the game because these guys are constantly complaining, blaming the referee, and making excuses when the Mexican team loses. It's seriously annoying.

To follow up on the above, we were a bit lucky that we played against a Mexican team with mostly shorter players, because Cevallos was exposed a couple of times on crosses. Man U will not be so forgiving, Cevallos will need to step up and get rid of his fears!

On reaction saves, Cevallos was solid as always.

Bolanos is not good enough for Europe. He fails more often than he succeeds and his ability to decide to shoot at goal or pass is horrible. Jairo Campos needs to be in Europe NOW..why hasn't Larrea started more often. I said this about Larrea years ago. He's probably the fastest guy on the squad and he's strong as hell. Why would you say that about Manso? Have you no shame? Plus I think Manso play for the Argentine NT.

    AGREED!

Are you judging Bolanos based on today only or his performances for the past year? He had a couple bad plays today where he should have passed and shot instead, or vice versa, but the field was very wet and makes judgment difficult. Either way, he still was a nightmare for Pachuca, especially for the first 15 minutes when Liga was actually running. Over the past year he was Liga's leading scorer in Libertadores, and he has become a regular call-up for the national team. His shooting, passing, and dribbling are better than Guerron, and he is almost as fast and strong.

As far as Manso, others may argue but I feel there's no shame in nationalizing players who have made a name for themselves in your country. We loved Graziani in Ecuador, and in Argentina he was an unknown player. So it made sense for him and gave the national coach another option.

Ofcourse I don't judge players on one game. Bolanos always had that problem both in the Copa Libertadores, the Ecua league and the National side. Remember that incredible miss against ColoMbia in Quito?..Remember in the Final against FLU in the Maracana when he was one on one against the brazilan goalie and he passed it back to manso? He should had score from there and put the nail in the coffin against FLU..there has been countless times of the same stuff with Bolanos..First of all, I was never convinced about Guerron going to Europe. he was too damn greedy and selfish. Niembro and Closs, both Argentine commentators completely LOVED Him. Now Guerron is sitting bench in some crap spanish club.. He still has Tons to learn..

yeah, between Guerron's big time ego, and his injuries the past few months, its no surprise that he's riding the bench...now he's about to get loaned off to either Boca or Udinese....the two teams he was supposed to go to instead of Getafe!!!!!

That's the exact same thing I was thinking while I was watching the game. Those announcers were just ridiculous I got so annoyed that I muted my television:mad:. Can stand how they always have a biased opinion for their mexican squad just commentate without bias. Anyway it was still a great game even with the bad conditions, they should of scores at least two more goals though o well. Man U here we come unless they shockingly lose to that japanese squad. VAMOS LIGA.

Its a cultural thing...it's not racist in Mexico...the reason you'd think so is because you're influenced by the way Americans view racism here in the states. Best of luck to LDUQ.

um excuse me, it was a clearly racialized comment, whether you're in America or in another country, respect their humanity...their skin color is not something to point out in a joke-like manner....thats like saying its a cultural thing to make monkey noises in spain when a black player touches the ball, its WRONG and should be frowned upon...that type of dismissive behavior is the reason that there is still rampant racism in soccer, even if it's considered minuscule, it doesn't make it something to be dismissed or glossed over as cultural...

I agree with LDU4Ever. That cultural thing is a custom that needs to change. It is unexcusable for an announcer to joke like that about colored players. He should have more respect for humanity.

    Agreed.

People that speak like this on the street without a hint of feeling any kind of racism because it is culturally "accpeted" is one thing. Being a TV announcer is another...

Well, now we know who will face la liga in the final. It is the match that we've all been waiting for. Ronaldo said after the three goals by Osaka that they will have to play better in the final if they are to beat the South American champions. I didn't watch the whole game but it was apparent the height was a huge factor for United's goals. Also, they appeared to be fairly flat and foolish towards the end. I think the jet lag hit them a tad. Let's hope for the best and a great game on Sunday!!
