Iran was probably the toughest team besides us. Oman was probably grouped with China to ensure they made the final.

This was Ecuador's first win against Iran after 4 games so first and foremost congrats on defeating the best team in Asia as your coach and Asian record books put it. now! Iran was head and shoulders above Ecuador all through out the match but couldn't capitalize on our many chances and off course the poor officiating didn't help matters. We had a perfectly fine goal disallowed as well as a clear penalty not called for us, also 2 red cards, 1 of which was not deserved at all. I don't know if this was Ecuador's A team or not but if it was you guys are gonna have problems in the SA qualifires as I think Brazil and Argentia may be a tad stronger than Iran's B team! I remember watching 1 of Ecuador's wcq matches a few months back (against Peru I think) and you were up by like 5 goals, that's why I was kind of dissapointed to see your display today as I'm sure Ecuador is better than what we saw of them today. Anyways I'm kind of happy we lost as we get to face China now whose style are similar to our next wcq opponents South Korea.
    Good luck against Oman

With Ecuador's best players locked into the their clubs in Europe and the best players from Ecuador's local league currently in Japan playing in the WCC vs. Manu with Liga de Quito, I would say this was more of a C-team.

    Thanks, to you as well...

Not bad for Ecuador's probation C team. I thought they played a great game against Iran's B team.
Our NT coach Vizuete took 2 from our A Team, a mix of under 21 NT players and others from our local league he wanted to observe.

This is the team that beat Iran
Cristhian Mora; Franklin Corozo, Jorge Guagua, Iván Hurtado, Isaac Mina; Oswaldo Minda, Fernando Hidalgo, Fidel Martínez, Jefferson Montero; Edmundo Zura, Walter Calderón. Narciso Mina y Angel Escobar.

This would be considered our A Team:
    Cevallos, De Jesus,Hurtado,Espinoza,Mina,Castillo,Mendez,
    Ayovi,Valencia,Guerron,Benitez

    Our B Team
    Elizaga
    Reascos
    Campos
    Calle
    Ambrossi
    Urutia
    Cortez
    Quiroz
    Bolanos
    Filipao
    Tenorio

    Our C Team
    Banguera
    Larea
    Guagua
    Hidalgo
    Minda

    Quinonez
    Saritama
    Lara
    Noboa
    Palacios
    Borja

    rahmati
    kaebi
    hosseini
    rezaei

all others were selected IPL players. so this was our C team too then.;)
