    Dortmund would be fine.

On the Benitez front, I am just as confused. After he had that 2 goal game and came off at half-time, I don't think he has seen the pitch. I think I remember seeing him on the bench for one of their next games but that is it. Santos has a game today and he is not on the field or the bench.

Is there a Santos thread on the Mexican boards? We could ask one of them?

    Screw Stevens. Mendez deserves better.

When he went to PSV, Koeman was coach, and PSV was a force in Europe, defeating Liverpool and making it to the Champions League quarterfinals.

Under Stevens, all of the good foreigners like Kone and Farfan have been replaced by 2nd-tier Dutch players like Koevermans, and look at how they are doing now.

Maybe Mendez is onto something. I'm not sure what he said but Mendez is a true gentleman, see how he walked away from the incident and did not allow it to escalate. Stevens ended up looking like a big jerk.

Huub's nicknames where Hitler Huub, Iron Huub, and he was a véry "mean" and hard defender in PSV's glory-years (1988).

Well, acording to Stevens this is just a "normal" accident and everybody who played football should know that this happens every week. He said he had the same kind of argument with Lazovic a few days ago, but that wasn't caught on tape.

According to Huub their is nothing to worry about, we shall see...

And Koevermans díd score a legendary goal against Willem II and is second on the CL Topscorers list. But you're right he's not good enough though.

And we never defeated Liverpool, we defeated Arsenal. That year we got defeated by Liverpool with 3-0, 1-0, 1-0 and we got 1 draw at home.

Well Mendez started today so I guess the argument wasn't too destructive or maybe he is needed that badly. But no one ever found out why Benitez hasn't been playing?

el ecuatoriano Christian Benítez se resintió del golpe que recibió en pierna derecha y su alineación dependerá de lo que decida el técnico Daniel Guzmán.

Jefferson Montero and Jose Madrid on 3 month loan to Dorados FC of Mexico.
I don't know if this has been posted, but I think it's great to have 2 Ecua juveniles playing and gaining some experience in Mexico. I hope they do well.

this is the last I heard on him:

    http://www.footespagnol.net/352-gijon-sanctionne-pour-racisme/

This may be old news but Edmundo Zura is finished in Australia.

I feel for him but it would be kinda cool to have another ecua playing in a different part of the world. Hopefully he can work more on his game and get some opportunities somewhere else. I watched him play a few games and he looked good but just couldn't find the net.

what talent? he was horrible. I caught glimpes of him on foxsports. if he can't make it in australia than where? he needs to go back to making cocolon con queso blanco. what happened to joe vargas who played in aldosivi? and for the life of me there was an ecuadorian forward who also played for aldosivi a couple of years ago and I can't remember his name..José Alberto Valdiviezo came out of renato cesarini but have no idea what happened to him. he should be 19 or 20 years old.

Great day for Ecuas in the Premier League!

Castillo plays 90 minutes as Everton wins 1-0 away against Man City. Castillo played a bit shaky in the first half but got more solid as the game went on. I think that tactically, he is a great fit for that team because he takes care of the midfield so well.

Valencia gets 2 assists and 1 goal as Wigan win 3-0 against Blackburn. His price keeps on rising by the minute.

I had no idea about Castillo...great news. I wanted to mention Valencia, an incredible value to the team giving reason why Wigan are currently in 9th and not facing relegation.

Wigan still hope to sign Christian Benitez according to the newspapers here today.

They say he will have the cast removed from his leg next week then will fly to England to have a medical at Wigan.

I really hope so. Benitez has become a true force and I think the EPL is a way for his skills to be showcased to the world.

    Valencia to ManU or Liverpool...

    Benitez to Wigan!!

Quinonez to continue and make his own name in Mexico (Santos) and take up where Benitez left off....

    Can you see the pattern?...
