Jamaica was nothing for many years, whiole we made 2 world cups..so does that mean Jamiaca will keep sucking...NO, obviously teams " can get better" right? but I do not mind disproving KIng, ad Warlord. the only thing say is that el salvador is gonna get crused in the HEx, but real info disproving my ideas. but If you want to base it on past history, we will probably qualify, becasue we have qualified before right????

    Errrr......negative.
If this were say 1994 and this conversation came up about Jamaica, I would see why everyone would say that Jamaica has no chance at all....because we were not anything to talk about. But in the past 14 years we have vastly improved. Though we do have stretches where we are atrocious, we always bounce back strongly. (ala 1995 - 2002). And since then we've been 'unpredictable'. But if going into the 98 World Cup, people thought we had no chance in hell in qualifying I would see where they were coming from.

Taking this back to El Salvador, I never said you guys would keep sucking, I just said as of now no one sees a threat coming from you guys until you do something. So you can't expect people to accept what you're saying, because we have yet to see the quality that you're talking about.

SO allowing only 1 goal (penalty) in 5 games in a qualifying group, that's not doing something.

what more do we need to do at this point, . .. . DONT HATE !!!:D

Those 5 games were againts teams that do not have top league quality strikers. (Europe & South America)

you need to do that in the Hex.

Cant wait for Feburary '09 to roll around. ES will get manhandled like a bitch in an abusive relationship.:D

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones will shred that joke of a defense into pieces.

BUt..nothing, were in the final 6 now, and we qualified very easilly right....

If we would of barely made, I would be talking a little diffirently. We have shown awesome form as well, not just getting a lucky result..and dont forget , we have a good team, not just a good striker. Id rather have a good "team". .

Seriously GUANACO enough is enough already, quit picking fights with the Jamaican posters in their OWN THREAD. Soo ES makes it to the HEX big deal the HEX hasnt even started for you to claim Jamaica or any other team suck. When it comes around this time next year then your opinions may make sense or you will just sound like the guatemalans did in 06 and how they kept bragging they were soo great and in the end it all went to hell. Soo you guys beat Bolivia, ok fine congrats im not sure if Bolivia fielded their reserves but it was a meaningless friendly for both FEDS to make some money. As far as how great ES is, you cant compare them to the Jamaican players playing in Europe. If i recall your whole team is mostly local league players with maybe a few in the lower divisions of the USA, How can you compare your team to USA,Mexico,CR,Honduras,Jamaica or even TnT, all these teams have better experienced players in Europe, better tactically minded players who play in the best leagues in the world. I read in you ES thread how you thinks ES is gonna bring back pure Football, thats almost impossible for a team like ES. The days of peles Brazil or Maradonas Argentina are now gone, now and days football is more tactically played in both the offense or defense. ES lacks depth in the team, if you guys were to play USA or Mexico tomorrow you can guarantee yourselves a defeat. De los cobos even said it, keep your feet on the ground and dont think of big things unless you hear your anthem play in South Africa 2010.

Agreed. Oh and i also fixed your post ;)

On a serious not though, enough is enough. This is not a Jamaica v El Salvador rivalry thread. Guanaco keep out of here, the way you talk you make it sound like we all believe what you do, and it's not like that (why do you think no one followed you here when you posted the link in the El Salvador thread?).

It's all well and good that you believe in our team but no need to down talk anyone else. Even if other posters have no respect for us, that doesn't mean that you have to be disrespectful back. Be mature about it, and remember this is JUST a forum. It's filled with different peoples opinions and ideas, and not everyone is going to agree. Some people take this WAY to serious, and you need to stop looking to pick fights cause it's not worth it.

    Why?

I know what they've been saying. Personally i'm not one to complain to the Jamaicans over their opinions because, after all, like i said before, this is just a forum. There's no need to take things so seriously.

I knew Guanaco came here looking to cause trouble but i didn't say anything because i thought he'd get over it like Warlord did when he used to come to our thread. But he's kept on, and he's now making himself look stupid. Not only that, but he's making us all sound like we think we are the best team around just cause we've made the Hex, which isn't true. Yes, we are proud of our team, but qualifying to the Hex was the minimum of what we were looking for coming into the qualifers. It means very little in the long run. IF we can put in a good run in the Hex, then he might have something to brag about (although i hate it when our fans brag but again everyones entitled to an opinion). As long as his opinions don't lead other to believe that all Salvadorans are stuck up just because we made it to the Hex, then it's fine.

But like i said before, this isn't the place to have a Jamaica v El Salvador discussion. IF Jamaica can make it to the Hex, then Guanaco, Warlord and the rest of the Jamaicans can trash talk each other all they want. But for now, this isn't the place to do it.

    Guys,chill man,it's just football.

    Lets go back to football.

Warlord and all other CFU Caribbeans, what do you guys think about Barbados?Could they be one surprise to all other CFU minnows? They have beaten us with 3-2 and draw with Cuba.I didn't expected this, but it seems that those Barbadians working on their way to be another force in the Caribbean zone.

I've googled about Barbados, they don't have a real football history but it's amazing:eek: how they trying to rise up gettin one CFU Title.Nough respect to them!

JUST Football!?!?!?! A wha di mummraclaat!?!!?!!?

Barbados still has a ways to go, they always have a small stretch when they start playing some decent ball, but they usually come crashing down quickly.
They need to start developing some local ballers if they want to have any chance...I mean they're running a campaign to find player who have Bajan grandparents to come play for them....

Barbados doesnt have any football pedigree in CFU but they do have a few players in the UK playing at a decent professional level. Over the course of the last few years their football have improved and they made it all the way to the CFU cup finals twice I believe but lost. As I got the Blues said... they need to invest in their local players and local football there before they can seriously challenge any of the CFU giants T&T and Jamaica. They did give Costa Rica a scare the previous WC cycle though. We'll see what happens in the CFU tourney in '09.

What is the status of the dual citizenship proposal with Suriname and the Netherlands? Has that been approved yet?

Honestly I dont think its a big deal, but it started when I made a comment regaurding that : I hope "Jamiaca win over honduras because Jamaica is an esier team to face in the hex, than King, and warlord went on "Talk about how EL Salvador is gonna get smashed campaign" talking about gettin zero points in the hex. Thats why I had been educating these guys on Salvadoranm soccer and its players.

Well, that thing about the dual citizenship,i think president Ronald Venetiaan is waiting untill the elections will start in Suriname in 2010.He promised all Surinamese citizens that he will do something about that law,cuz he wants to put Suriname back in the situation like in the 70's and even more better like before. He also promised the Surinamese Federation that he will be ready to support the SVB financial wich is a very important factor.

Stanley Menzo and Winston Bogarde for an example already told the press that they are ready to support Suriname if they need coaching and any other help if it comes to football.Suriname needs to professionalise it's Federation, because most of you probably already know , it's unfair and a discraze to a entire nation having so many talented players and not using anyone of them.I also think it would be better for the CFU to have more competitive Caribbean football teams.

But thanks anyway for your intrest man.I will be here to backup you guys as soon when Jamaica faces Canada.Big up to the Caribbeans!:)

You havent been educating anyone here on ES football. We all know ES sucks and its just a matter of time before that fact is proven. You'll fold like a cheap tent when the going gets tough.;)

Suriname was very difficult country and very hard to play against in the 70's.I remember it,my parents told me "Oh no,there they are again!!" lol!

It's sadly for you guys at the moment, but i believe Suriname can be a force again, and i believe they will.Suriname is having that potential.

Thanks by supporting us,I hope we can make it to the hex.
