I know this should be in the Dynamo pages but I'm not starting this over there.

So, pardon me for starting it here:

I really think that Dom should talk to his players about this being "disrespected in San Jose" & "we won the championships" lines spewing out from apparently even Bobby Boswell now!

    WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE????

    This is RIDICULOUS!

Ridiculous and really petty bullshite. But what do you expect from boys who thought they were heroes, only to find out they were just Moes.

This is out of control! What is going to happen next on this wild ride? I hope DeRo doesn't say anything stupid, as far as I know he has kept his mouth shut, and I respect him for that.

DeRosario has always been a classy and quiet guy. He was one of my favorites. Ching's overrated, Boswell was never a Quake, and I always hated that hack cnut Robinson. Oh and Onstad could be my grandpa.

EDIT: Forgot about Kamara. Well everybody was pretty much overjoyed to see him go. What a jerk.

Why would he talk to them? He started it. This is what he wanted.

I want to thank Dom for taking Kei Kamara off our hands. What a useless, classless turd.

He didn't have to leave. His choice to go down to Houston. You made your bed, not enjoy it.

I know he praised the area in 2006 talking about how great place the San Jose area was. I'm sure like everyone else , he was bitter about the move but in leaving he won two more MLS Cups. I resent the fact that they won twice outside of San Jose but I'm not sure I can blame Dom about the move. I don't think Dom had much of a choice though. I mean if he quit he wouldn't have had another job anywhere except another MLS team who knows where?

falvo makes a good point about Kinnear not quitting and staying here in December 2005 as John Doyle did, considering that Lewis Wolff and John Fisher only signed the deal to bring back the San Jose Earthquakes in May 2006.

However, athletics68 also makes a good point about how Kinnear could've not signed his contract extension for Houston later on (after Lew Wolff's July 2007 announcement officially declaring the Earthquakes back for 2008) and instead been available for the Quakes' head coaching job.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Oh I am sure of it but he would have been out of a job for two years coaching youth leagues with John Doyle. I don't think he had any choice but to leave. I'm not saying I am happy about Dom or the team leaving but he had no choice but he won 2 more MLS Cups

Some of you guys are being downright silly expecting Kinnear to abandon the team he built on the hope San Jose would get another team, or better yet, leaving his MLS Cup winning team to come back here.

Exactly. Just as the Dynahoes were being silly in assuming we'd welcome them back in San Jose with open arms. It cuts both ways.

I'm glad someone posted this because I've been getting a little tired of the crap spewing from the Houston players.

First of all...we are all well aware of the fact that some of those guys were in fact here in San Jose when they won 2 MLS Cups. They were the San Jose Earthquakes at the time, and the records associated with the San Jose Earthquakes remained here in San Jose. This doesn't discredit their efforts and dedication while winning those championships here in San Jose, but they must realize that those records belong to us and the franchise.

However, the crap coming from some of these players is just way over the top, and a clear indication that OUR team and fans clearly got into their heads. I'm tired of this crap about we are supposed to "show them some respect" simply because they USED to be here. Wasn't it these SAME players who eventually told us to "get over it" when the team was moved and we eventually got our own team? I can dig up the quotes if you would like, but it's really not worth that much effort. The fact of the matter is...we DID get over it, and it pissed them off that it wasn't this huge love fest when they played here.

Furthermore, I love how some of these guys claim not only the stars on their jersey, but the stars on our jersey despite the fact they weren't even part of the teams that won the 2 cups here in San Jose. Ching...running to the sideline counting down all 4 MLS Cups. Hmmm...sorry sparky...you weren't even on the 2001 roster. Mullan...pretending to put 4 rings on his fingers when he was subbed out. Hmmm...nope...not on the 2001 roster. So does that mean Yallop can claim all 4 MLS Cups since he built that team himself?

Seriously Houston...spare me the BS. You guys are coming across as pathetic little children and need to get over the fact that we "moved on" as you told us to. It's like when some chick leaves you, and the moment you start dating someone else they get all butt hurt that you're not "into" them anymore and they throw a fit.

And finally...don't demand respect from the San Jose fans because of your time spent here and the MLS Cups that were won here. I don't give a flying "F" if you feel slighted that you only have 2 stars on your jersey. Take it up with the league ya freakin orange freaks!

My personal recommendation: Lots of therapy...cause you guys have "issues"

I wonder if, on Saturday, Jimmy Conrad and Nick Garcia are going to be angry about the fact that each is wearing a star that the other "earned."

Funny thing is this topic's door unfortunately swings both ways.

ohhhh Childs Play, if you would have only know the conversations I have had with your old coaches. Ha ha ha!

I'll add to that and speak of the Quake ledgend that is Jeff Agoof. Guy won stars for different jerseys and has a place in both clubs. Nothing can tarnish that. And I don't even rate the guy.

For the record, as I have made this statment before, at least San Jose got to keep its colors, crest and all accomplishments intact. Earl Campbell and Johnny Unitas' NFL records are listed as Tennessee Titan and Indianapolis Colts records in the Hall of Fame.

Its called, talk to the few guys on the planet that can elaborate with clarity what it's like to win titles in two different cities.

Unlike us in bsland, their words make headlines and carry weight.

I'm rather glad we don't Dom Kinnear as a coach. I never knew him personally from when he was here; but in a professional context, the more we see of his behavior, the less there is to like. He might have a decent soccer mind both for tactics and for player evaluation, but he's a hot head and manipulative and disingenuous. I don't feel one bit sorry for him being stuck with AEG.
