I used the "simple math" not to imply anything against you but for argument's sake make a simple point. Just to emphasise how huge 650 billion to one individual is. What a government has as a surplus has no bearing on how much an individual makes or its personal value. For the record, I beleive they are projecting a 30 billion dollar surplus. But then again they are private right so I guess we cant trust their figures either ?

When you have an absolute monarchy, it very much is.

And I do understand how big a figure 650 billion is, I truly do.

And then divided up by how many people in that family tree of theirs ? Institutions such as Forbes have some pretty informed individuals employed that know alot more about these issues than you or I do. While I do agree that they might try to hide how much each individual makes on a yearly basis, they eventually have to put that money somewhere. Then wealth becomes public even if the money was earned secretly.

joel, while the family might be worth 650 billion, you are talking about that number being divided between hundreds. This dude himself has 19 brothers and is 3 generations below the king. And, most of their money is invested in all kinds of stuff. The money available to him would be much more limited.

If you truly understand how much $650 billion is, then you must understand how impossible it would be to hide it.

I'm getting gang banged out here. I should go work for the porn industry the way I am getting triple teamed...

Alright, 650 Billion for one person is astronomical yes. I admit that I was wrong to estimate his individual value that high, however, I hold by my ground that someone out there has more money then Billy.

Did not want to make you feel that way bud. Im a dam accountant and sometimes I take figures to seriously :D:D One thing that I will agree with you, this guys can get hold of a lot of money. Both his and investors/family. What is going on with guys like this is going to ruin soccer though. Salaries are already nuts and they are going to go much worse.

I find the players actual salaries aren't that bad when you compare it with the NBA or Baseball. What is really out of hand is the amount of money being used in regards to the transfer for attaining that one individual.

Great picture. Murtosa's face says its all, wonderful to see really.

Ronaldo came on in the 2nd half, the game ended in a 1 - 1 tie.

Played well last night against Blackburn Rovers. Got an assist from Rooney's extravagant finish. Hes slowly coming into it...

Here is an interview from TVI, it has some decent english subtitles for those who can't follow Portuguese.

I think this season he'll be more of a winger than a striker in a sense! He's having a great link up wit Rooney just like in the 06-07 season, where he provides some great passes to Rooney, then last season Rooney was more of the provider & Ronaldo the finisher, maybe this season the cards changes again. I think he'll have a balanced # of assists & goals, we'll wait & see, but he is slowly getting back on form :)
Wasn't Evra who said they would have to kill Ronaldo to stop him? I think the Albanian coach is taking this statement into serious consideration, not alone break his legs but use a gun? lmao its hilarious at this point.

I disagree. Ronaldo was a provider last season as well but Rooney/Tevez/Others squandered the chances.

When do they announce it? Usually around January no? I think if Portugal stumbles in the friendlies date against Brasil, he might very well lose the trophy..lol

Perhaps you should mind your tongue. If you cant do that then saddle up your high horse and go back to the Ronaldo thread over in the Man Utd forum. We that have been watching Ronaldo since the Sporting days and Portugal youth team days dont need any wanne be Ronaldo bandwagon experts over here.

CR is definitely not playing to the degree he has accustomed to watch. I had mentioned that already last season, which he salvaged (his season) by scoring tons of goals. What's going on ? Probably several factors: older, fame, coaching influences, injury, etc.

Agreed. One of the things that made CR who he is was his concentration and devotion to learning and improving his game. I think with all the things around him he has lost his focus/edge.

I hope you guys do realize that he wasn't supposed to make his return before the end of October.

Also, who scored the most goals for you in your last qualifying campaign?
