    Thank goodness we scored....

Venezuela came out hungry.... Hit the post and then had another nice shot on goal.

Yeah, English announcers.... Can't figure out how to properly say Spanish names.

    No kidding....

It is amazing how we grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory.

And yes true, it does work both ways with commentators.

    Sadly, that is so true.

Once Hurtado got hurt and had to come off, everything really went down hill.

I almost think, if we had capped 11 people from BS, we might have played with more passion.

In the end the the Bolivia/Uruguay match and Chile/Argentina did little for us because we were not able put our destiny in our own hands after all.

I don't think ecuador will make it this time around with this lost.. I think the last two qualifiers. ecuador at least got three points from venezuela.

What a horrible game guys, first half we played was real good. Players looked confident and the build up to each play was smooth, and the goal came from a well deserved free kick. The first few minutes of Guerron were also very pleasing to watch, after Hurtado left injured the defense was looking shaky. Was happy with the performance at half time because Ecuador really fought for the result.

But than it all fell apart, the damm team was happy and tried to settle for the 1-0 win away, and Cevallos always wasting time, when what we should have done is try to put the game away, second half was just disgusting, so disorganized and that first goal from Venezuela made me want to cut off my c0ck and slap myself with it, that was atrocious. IMO it was both their faults

    1) Cevallos never called for the ball
    2) Defender could have tried to clear it

I just hate that when we get a goal away we become so defensive and forget that the game can change at any second.

The other two goals were also basic errors that could have been prevented if Hurtado could have been playing. I am disgusted by the performance tonight, the guys looked like it was a practice session when it was a very critical game that they were playing, with crucial points at stake,

What a bad result in general, which leaves us in 6th, 1 point under Uruguay, which is not bad, but if we would have won this game we could have put our fates into our hands, but now at the end of the WCQ's were gonna have to hope some teams win and some lose.

On a brighter note, the commentators said that many think Ecuador is doing worse than last qualifiers, but if we would have one this game wo would actually been better than last qualifiers, so I guess we are not that far off. Benitez and Valencia were also big factors that were missing to our attack. We still have a good chance but we MUST, I repeat MUST win our games at home (obviously) and beat Peru and my dear Bolivia both which are away games.

That was really one of the worst games I've ever seen our defense was ridiculously horrible, did you see the retarded play that castro did WTF:mad:. And they would lose possesion of the ball evrytime it would be 123 passes and then they lose it or it was a horrible pass, and that field didn't help. We really did miss benitez, valencia and even castillo in my opinion. And was it just me or could cevallos have at least tried to save that last goal of venezuela or what??

Hurtado gone, no valencia, no benitez, no castillo, .... I'm srry, I'm not taking away from Venezuela because they showed they wanted it more.. but we were missing KEY players...

How ironic, the team that bit us in the ass, did it again. And at the same time that very same team took away Vizuete's winning streak in these WCQs. LoL Venezuela volvio a pintarnos la cara.....

Cevallos could have avoided one of the goals...

Venezuela deserved this win, they played with something we clearly didn't bring tonight....GUEVOS!!!!, but here some things that I consider factors that can change things.
1.- Cevallos doesn't go out for floating balls, the first goal was just bad reaction from him, (getting old maybe) WE NEED A GOALIE.
2.- Ivan Hurtado needs to be in this team, as much as I hate to admit it he is our best central defender.
3.-Valencia, Castillo and Benitez are a must in EVERYGAME. we got to start being more careful with the yellow cards.(except for Castillo he was hurt)
4.-We need a goal scorer, simple as that.
5.- Vizuete needs to start a new gameplan for away games, tonight was a proof that when a little thing goes wrong like Hurtado's injury, things can get ugly playing tha 4-5-1
In my opinion, We still got a decnt shot at the 5th spot, and a not so long shot at even 4th place, we still got 4 home games and 4 away.
HOME: Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay. (needless to say all 4 are a must win)
AWAY: Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile. (we can sneak 4 or maybe 6 points from these right?)
we have 12 points already, plus 12 points from home games plus 4 from away games we are looking at 28 points more than enough for 5th place. (jesus I cant believe we are doing the math thing already)

QUE CONERIA !! that was not what I ewxpected.... it's obvious we suffered controlling the possesion this game it looked like the old Ecuador team that just defended. Cortez, how can Vizuete depend on this player for such an important role playing away in such a key match? Ayovi did his best but he shouldn't have started this game.... all the absences for this match obviously hurt the team.. uggh noe i gotta go to work tomoro feelin grumpy
