I have no idea where to ask this question but how are things with Trezcin with Ling? He said he bought 5 Argentines, anyone know who they are? He also said one Argie who now plays in Holland with an amateur team will join his team for pre-season training. Who is he?
They were pretty lucky in Poland, but definitely deserved to qualify for the first time! Congrats. Btw: Any Slovaks on this board?
well I'm Moravian (the region of Czech Republic, not religion) and will be living the WC experience vicariously through Slovakia. gratuljem slovensku!

Hello everybody Friendly match, on Nov. 17th in Zilina: Slovakia vs Chile You won your group, and we are the 2nd best southamerican NT. I think it will be an interesting match.

Group F Italy Paraguay New Zealand Slovakia not bad draw for Slovakia, would have taken a very favorable draw to be a clear favorite. They can do this, but Paraguay will be tough; also of top teams Italy is one of the better match ups for Slovakia... though it could be one very boring game. Unless New Zealand has improved much from last summer, they are probably the tournaments weakest squad.
I have a real feeling that this could be one of the tournament's surprise teams. They have a great blend of youth and experience and also a good backline, Weiss also seems like a good coach and has put together a united team. Check out my preview of Slovakia on my site One Game, One World (http://onegameoneworld.wordpress.com)
It was a shockingly poor effort from the Repre, especially after reaching the Round of 16 at the World Cup. That said, you have a pretty solid you midfield shaping up with Hamsik, Weiss, and Stoch. The World Cup Qualification isn't completely out of the question with the group Slovakia was drawn in, but they'll have to play better than they did the last two years. I know Slovakia tried to hire Pavel Vrba, the manager at Plzeň, but the club refused to let him out of his contract, which is a shame for Slovakia.
We certainly have an easier group than we have had in previous WC qualifying campaigns but then again our qualifying campaign for the EURO wasn't all that difficult either and we managed to fail.
That's true, I didn't follow the Slovak qualifying campaign closely, but the goal production was shockingly low. I'm also not convinced by the co-managers that are in charge of the team now, that just seems like a strange situation.
Co-managing is never a good idea that's why you don't see it in business. Sorry, but somebody has to be the boss. For more proof look at the state of marriage these days lol!
Denmark 1 : Slovakia 3 Jakubko, Hamšík, and Guldan getting the goals. Promising result in the final warmup before qualifying.
YES! I don't suppose the games was on t.v. was it? I never get to see them play! Considering they were down 1-0 at halftime and they were playing in Denmark I would say that match was a huge confidence boost for Slovakia!
