2 more american teams and 1 more tico team could have been in the group stages but they have no one else to blame but themselves that they could not get the job done

my point is they too could have had forwards with 2 extra games to rack up goals

Meaningless? Kettle calling the pot black, really slick chief. The point of the conversation, which you have such difficulty grasping, is that of an even slate and differentiating between the actual tournament and the qualifier rounds. But that seems to be too much for you to break down. Goals scored in the qualifier rounds shouldn't be counted in the overall goals scored. Why? Well, not only is it unfair to the teams who had qualified directly into the actual group stage, it's also counting goals from preliminary rounds. In other words, rounds that don't actually count towards what one would assume to be the full blown tournament (group stages+knockout rounds).

You honestly can't be that thick. Then again....

Not only that, but some teams (cruz azul) racked up goals against far inferior teams.

Well it seems it is true what they say about general knowledge, the least picked team is already out, therefore losing all chance of being winner.

All 4 Mexican clubs get a win this week. The Mexican teams are taking this competition to another level

True, unfortunately though the rest of the teams are still in diapers, so to speak.

And will there be any MLS teams? DC is out. Houston has to have a winning record in the next two games against Firpo since anything less than a win and a tie would mean they are out.

As for the other groups, Azul looks set to move on, altough its not certain, while Saprissa and Marathon duke out the other positions. Similarly in Group B, Pumas looks set to move. Have our finalists for Group C. With Laguna and PR ahead in Group D, it looks like all Mexican teams are going to move on. It'll be sad for MLS if no one moves on.

Pumas & Atlante have already secured a spot in the quarter finals.

    Group Tables - mediotiempo.com

Only one team, either Firpo or Dynamo can tie or surpass Pumas, but not both being that their last two matches are head to head.

should be no problem the way Saprissa been playing.

although they might buck up since its a Mexican team coming to town.
