As a public service, I wanted to make sure that YA followers knew that there is an excellent chance that Jozy will make his La Liga debut this weekend -- and the debut will be televised.

Of Villarreal's 5 forwards, only Jozy and Llorente are healthy. Nihat is out, Rossi is still injured, and GFranco picked up an injury in training and is unlikely to be ready for Sunday. On top of that, they have to play ManU in the Champions League next week, and they are going to need to have some of those guys healthy.

Expect Llorente to start; depending on the formation, Jozy could also start or be on the bench. However, with their lack of forward depth, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Yellow Submarine play with one up top.

Can't wait, hoping to see Jozy get his first start, or at least some good minutes in La Liga. Any info on Llorente??? Im about to look him up on wikipedia, but did he get good time in the preseason? Because maybe the manager likes one more than another.

There is no chance that Jozy plays instead of Llorente.

Probably right, although Jozy scored a hat trick in a friendly for Villareal earlier this week, but I believe the team was semi-pro.

    It was a 5th-division squad -- yes, semi-pro.

GFranco could be available, but they've got the CL match coming up that I think they'll need him for. I can see them being cautious. There have been no updates since the 9th.

Meanwhile, Mexican Andres Guardado will not play for Depor -- coach's decision to rest him.

I'm pretty sure it will be those two. I love Ray -- too bad he won't get to do Ronaldinho games anymore, since he has a man-crush on him.

Nonetheless, being able to finish three times not only will do wonders for his already-high confidence, but it also shows signs to the coach the Altidore is capable of finishing chances, regardless of the opposition.

Jozy will get his chance -- whether it's this week, that remains to be seen. But I'm willing to go out on a limb and say it's ultimately going to be sooner rather than later.

Yep, I've griped about it on here before. Dish killed the channel literally days after I signed a two year contract. The whole reason for switching? Setanta and GolTV. Gutted (as they say).

Great vid, thanks for posting it!
I saw Ray play many games at Lockhart stadium in Ft. Lauderdale.
Many times he appeared to be needing an oxygen tank, then. However, I can still remember him recieving the ball, and immediately popping his head up to see his next pass. A Fellini statue, he was.:D

Yea I e-mailed them and told them my feelings, I got a response back that they are working on it and that ESPN Deportes and fox soccer channel have similar programming. Let them know how you feel, the more they hear from us the more likely they are to get the channel back.

Is this the first time a Mexican and American play in the same team in Europe?
Hopefully Altidor plays tomorrow along with Guille. It could be a Concacaf day if Guille, Altidor, Bravo and DeGuzman play. To bad Guardado is getting some rest.

Hopefully they tie 2-2 a goal for Guille and Jozy and two for Bravo :D
