We are playing in grey (and sucking by the way) as it is the alternative shirt that Belgrano have used in the last year or two. I don't know why but we are not using the red shirt much, if at all.

Btw, we are horrible. Still, we should be down 2 or 3 goals but we are still trailing 1-0. I think Belgrano can still pull it out. I'd be happy with a draw anyway. It will be wide open going into the second leg.

Don't get your hopes too high. After all, we are Deportivo Suarez and to be honest, there's not much he can do on his own.

Belgrano's always been like this. We never make it easy on ourselves and everything is a struggle. Still, I've seen so many heroics in the past that I always stay optimistic.

Well 1-1, the score favours Racing but it isn't over yet. Racing dominated at first, but Belgrano could've had it, too bad they woke up too late. Suarez is skilled indeed, but i still think that he's not intelligent when he's on the box, probably because he lacks good company, or any company up front at all.

Huge mistake by Racing's defender Marcos Cáceres which lead to the equalizer.
The second half was dominated by Belgrano, such a pitty that they haven't socred another gol.
Now, Belgrano have to win in Avellaneda, and I'm quite pessimistic about that:cool:

Well, it's football. Football giveth and football taketh it away.

I feel sad because, although we didn't do enough to beat Racing over the two legs, there is no way we deserved to lose today. It's really heartbreaking for our 8000 fans than made themselves heard in the Cilindro. At times, it looked like Racing Club players were just waiting for the final whistle. It just feels like crap that our strikers couldn't put the ball into the net.

We'll be back. Props to Racing. They have some talented youngsters that play their asses out in the two legs.

Morimos de pie. A lo Belgrano.

Right, Belgrano played well regardless they couldn't make better use of the posession, since they dominated Racing at times, although Racing was more effective and in the end i think that made the difference, but Belgrano too has some interesting players, maybe next season it'll be.

to be honest, all 4 teams that played la Promocion showed that they dont deserve to be in the top division.

Racing got lucky and advanced only because somehow Belgrano played even worse and managed to miss many clear chances, while the gimnasia (j)/union game was pathetic

Lolzers, did you watch the first game?? Racing could have easily been up 5-0 but missed some very easy opportunities.

Anyways, Racing deserves to be in the first division of Argentine football for the simple fact of the fans that they have. Racing is its people, and the fans showed to be there in the hard times and in the good times--always! It's not like other clubs, like Boca or River, where after 3 games of bad results they stop going to the stadium or they throw flour and corn at their players...

    LMFAO

dude when Boca was in the position as Racing (1949) they had the biggest crowd and ticket sales of their entire history, meanwhile Racing was pathetic in terms of fans the entire Apertura. Sure you didnt throw corn like River but instead your barra brava went their and starting threatening the players like true fans
Yesterday you finally 'filled the stadium' for the first time since you won the title in 2001, great fans

Alas, that doesn't mean they actually sung and cheered for the team. The whole stadium was silent through most of the match except for those of the barra. It wasn't until the 80th minute that the crowd all started chanting --when it was clear there was no way back for Belgrano. I was actually quite surprised to see this (watched it through a good online stream) since I thought they were going to outdo the 7000+ Belgrano fans. I was quite disappointed with them actually.

By a minor margin i think Unión was the best of the 4 in the first leg but they sucked completely in the second leg. Now this is quite an odd situation because even Belgrano last time they played with Olimpo had a nice game to what i recall.

I'm sure that your Bolivian and Paraguayan fan-base would threaten your players after a couple of bad results. Are you sure you're not mistaking us with the amargos across the street?

What are you talking about buddy, we always fill our stadium...and unlike you guys we don't need "speakers" to get our chants heard!

There is no way of knowing because we didn't descend, but I don't have any doubt in my mind that we would have filled the stadium...

Who is San Lorenzo?? Oh! That team that depends on Marcelo Hugo Tinelli to loan them money for their players!!! jajaa rajá de acá ********!!! Si venís a insultar create tu propio thread amargo!!

No hay hinchada con más aguante que Racing, es las buenas y en las malas. No vas a encontrar otra...sabelo

This was a final, and we lived it like a final....Once we knew there was no chance Belgrano could tie, then all the tension begun to release....

Re: Racing Club - news, photos & transfers (r)

You descended once before and you gave pity with the amount of Racing fans that went. And though I can't stand San Lorenzo, they were the team that set a record for most tickets sold in the second division ever or something like that.

And the second part in bold just made me laugh. IMO, Racing's fan = invention of the press. Anyways, this is polluting the thread IMO, so I'll just leave it at that

No no, because Boca's fanbase is not an invention of the press?? Come on! Go to Avellaneda and a watch a game there before you speak...lol

That's because we are a big club, and big clubs have prominent stadiums with enough capacity to withhold many people...unlike the Nuevo Gasometro...;) And of course family and friends will go, because Racing's fanbase is made of families...unlike the criminals which make up the fanbase of other teams...:p

oh and to Soybostero...please no more of this, ok?? The republic of Bolivia will be glad to send you more people to cheer on your team...
