I agree. I'm really tired of seeing him getting called up.

overconfidence has been an issue, I agree. a couple of line-up tweaks wouldn't hurt though. just to try guys out. We all know Suazo, Palacios, Rambo, Guevara,Valladares are pretty consistent with their play..Rueda's job is to get everyone else going. An excellent way to do that is to create competition at each position....I think it is very important that our back four(Mendoza,Muma,Osman,Maynor) really feel the pressure from other potential defenders. It will really help find out who cracks and who raises their level. I feel like the lack of competition at centerback has potential to hurt the development of Muma and Osman. Look at our Midfield(it's stacked)...all of our starters @ mid know that there is a guy waiting who can easily become an overnight superstar. for example, when rambo, palacios, guevara, thomas start...... Alvarez,,M.Suazo,Turcios, Ivan ...are probably thinking they should have got the nod. Up front, I think Costly could become a great national team goal scorer if he felt his starting role was being threatened. Peri Martinez could help out in doing that:) Peri deserves a chance to start...soon!! I know La Bicolor is trying to find rythm right now and I completley back Rueda...I just think it's important to try every angle possible during Amistosos before heading into Azteca.

I am extremely happy we have three youngsters in Italy. This is why; with Mosky, Pantera and Rambo uncertain about their teams, it almost seems to me like they are used up. This frightens me really, where will our reputations end up? They are offering them like if they are used toilet paper. How bad will the change be? From Inter, Roma, Fiorentina; best teams where they have been at to Parma in Serie B to Bologna that just ascended to Napoli, who is certainly not one of the big four. I'm not really worried about their quality, because at the en it does not matter the team... but more like their league. I am more worried about our moral.

I trust our kids. I'm happy because they virtually have the same positions as our "big-three" (left wing, right wing and forward). I trust they will be the next big thing in Serie A.
Question: Why aren't they playing with the U-23?

i think honduras needs to change there formation also like the dutch have..(anyone saw them againt the group of death?? what a joke they made of those teams)

i think a 4-2-3-1 would fit honduras better.
    ---------------------N. Valladares-----------------------------
    -E. Izaguirre--Oscar Garicia---Maynor Figueroa*-- Sergio Mendoza.
    ---------------Henry Thomas*----Wilson Palcios*--------------
    ----Edgar Alvarez---Danilo Turcios----Rambo de Leon-----------
    -----------------------Il Bambino**----------------------------
*with these three at wigan our defence will be most talented in concacaf.
** this position could easy by played by il bambino suazo , coslty, pery.

I like figueroa as a wing back more then a center back...he doesn't have much arial dominance...but he is fast so if it wa sup to me tho he would be a wing back then a center back.

yeah i agree he is better at left back than centre, but we have good wing backs but bad centre backs, but i think he is better at centre back than any other player we have there so i think he is better at the wing for his performance but for the team he is better at centre back.

Got to see La Seleccion at the San Pedro airport a couple weeks ago when they arrived for the first match against Puerto Rico. I was there to pick up a mission group from the States with the Mrs. and a couple others. Couldn't get over how short some of the guys are. El rey David is a pretty solid guy, patted him on the back. Wilson Palacios isn't a very big guy, either.
Probably about 250-300 people at the airport to welcome the team. I had no idea the team would be there, otherwise I'd have brought the camera. Nonetheless, very cool to have the whole team walk right in front of me.

The team Honduras has is impressive, and as long as they can put things together somewhat consistently (ah, there's the age old problem with La Seleccion), qualification should happen.

i dont like garcia CB hes too small,MUma should stay i think.

Chavez and Muma CB with Figueroa and either Izaguirre or Garcia on the outside.

Rambo and Guevara in the middle and Palacios and Dani on the outside.

    Suazo and Martinez up front

last summer David Suazo, Carlos pavon, amado and Noel Valladares who is my cousin (my dad's cousin's son.) where at my uncle's house, he is the owner of las paginas amarillas in Honduras (Roberto Canahuati), It was pretty cool we played with them for a little bit.

Just to brag a little, Since my uncle is also close friends with Pedro atala, we get Sky boxes at el nacional when we go to honduras, a few times we have gotten to go into the locker room and when i was little i met el nene obando, also I got to meet clavasquin a few times, dani turcios back in the early 2000's when he played for us, and amado when he was still young.

With all the Hondurans playing in Europe, US and other places. What would most of you consider your top XI at the moment. Just curious, because I can look up the clubs and positions of your players from abroad, but don't know where they slot in with your seleccion? Thanks.

Rambo-----Wilson----amado(I like Hendry thomas better here)-----Edgar

    maynor figs-----osmanc chavez-----muma bernardez------Boniek

i agree with that lineup a 1000%:D....other options could be putting erik norales in instead of muma...having a three man back by taking out muma and amado and putting in izzaguire in at the lb.. moving figs a lil more up in def. mid with hendry...it would be a 2-3-2-3

well let see after this 08-09 EPL season how maynor and tomas come up.
second muma is cocky so his automatically out.
wilson out side???? thats not the position that got manchester united interested in him there for i would place him there he plays like emerson from juventus and plays it well. and i feel maynor should stay in central def. he reminds me of nesta but not that good.:D
