I'm amazed that no one has started this yet. Home boy needs his official thread, if only to deflect attention from some of those other "official" threads.

Yes, that one that's rapidly sinking into the oblivion it so richly deserves. Kelly Gray's debut is much more deserving of the admiration.

We gave him lots of admiration here. We even got into the part about him being hott! :D

But, yes, he does deserve tons of admiration. I will make sure to admire him as much as I can....

    Home at last!
It doesn't matter as long as the boy can play. And man, was he a member of the "I'm on the wrong team" team when he was in Chicago. But Kelly is traditionally an Irish name used for boys or girls. At least that is what I was told by my grandfather whose name was also Kelly.

My family is Irish too. So it seems perfectly natural to me.

Well I'm not 100% certain on the Sicilian part. Italian in the very least. But, yes, your point is very valid either way. :D

I think they mean this (from Wikipedia):
Kelly Lawrence Kirmil Gray (born April 7, 1981 in Palo Alto, California) is an American soccer defender, who currently plays for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.
Gray played forward and midfielder at the University of Portland from 1999 to 2001. He scored a total of 32 goals and 12 assists in his three years for the Pilots and was voted a second-team All-American and first-team All-WCC as a junior.

    Kirmil?

As I recall, Kelly Gray went to high school in San Jose. He's as local as they get.

Centerlinesoccer.com has this to say: "Gray has scored seven goals in 146 league and playoff appearances."

    Discuss.

I'm really not clear on Kirovski. IIRC when he first came to the league, he was doing well and then he fell under the evil influence of the Dark Side down SoCal way and the performance was just not as good. Any clarification?

Jovan has always been a disappointment in MLS. He was Colorado's leading scorer, but that wasn't saying much. It has never been clear whether he should play forward or a-mid. 24 goals and 10 assists in 109 games.

That said, as poor as our front line has been, I welcome the reinforcements. He is also somewhat versatile. He can play forward or in the midfield.

And of course, I'm really glad that we ditched Burpo. Sure, he's a good keeper, but he's a former, you know, Flounder.

    GOOOOOO QUAAAAAAKES!!!!!! :D
