Thanks, the crest was designed by KeeperDad.

Eads Brigade obviously is a play on Eads Bridge. Eads Bridge spans only the Mississippi, connecting Missouri and Illinois, much like the supporters group connects fans from both sides of the Metro Area.

We're not nearly as concerned about uniting St. Charles County and St. Louis County. ;)

As a native South Sider, we would laugh when St. Charles and Chesterfield folk would come into the city. You can spot their cars, they are the ones that finally came to a stop a full foot from the curb! And for a St. Charles person, the drive to Collinsville is like driving to Massachusetts.

    *DIRTY SECRET*
I used to live in Lake St. Louis, and graduated from Wentzville!!! *gasp*

I live in St. Charles, have for a long time now (when im not at school, anyways) and its always baffled me how people, particularly from West County, where I went to high school (DeSmet) have no understanding of what St. Charles is like, and have the misconception that its still 1932 out here.

Keep in mind (and this is in no way a criticism of the new badge, which I think is great) St. Louis is where the two great rivers of North America meet ;)

Well, county folks never go through St. Charles County unless they are headed to the Lake.

I agree on the river point, except that adding more elements to the badge would make it look cluttered IMHO

    Scott

If we don't move to the City, we may end up either in O'Fallon or St. Peters. I've been looking at places like Winghaven, etc. In the City, we would be either in Tower Grove/Fox/Soulard.

Looks like I will have to represent for St. Charles now! lets face it, if you are from St. Louis you hate crossing the river one way or another.

Congrats on getting Eades Brigade off the ground everyone. I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but maybe in the future I can. I will certainly participate. Sign me up!

small detail, but I said two great rivers. The Illinois is not nearly as significant as the other two ;)

Also, if you check out the City's site about the flag, it says that the wavy lines represent the joining of the Missouri and the Mississippi into one river.

Very cool. It's a name that easily makes sense to anyone from the St. Louis area, but to outsiders it's a little imposing and needs explanation, which will just emphasize the "us vs. them" mentality of a truly fierce soccer rivalry.

It's simple, tough sounding, and lends itself well to imagery in a variety of ways. Best possible name.

Excellent choice. I had no idea what it meant. Therefore, it's perfect for y'all.:)

By which I mean that it's something that's St. L. specific.

Just curious: Now that there's a new name & website, have you e-mailed Cooper to let him know who we are now?

hopefully the EB's use of the green and blue motif will help lock Cooper into keeping those colors for the actual team
