Whatever happened to Dominguez? She was a good player for Atlanta. Ah, well, there'll be a Dallas team in WPS and I hope a lot of young people see that team as a role model. What helps CONCACAF helps futbol feminin around the globe!
Out of the running for a spot at the Olympic games, but Mexico still playing for third place and for pride against Costa Rica later today. Preolímpico Femenil | Previo México-Costa Rica... Duelo por el tercer lugar
Sweet.. and they are going to do some changes in El Tri Fem ($$). I hope is for the better. First thing they need to do is get a good coach.. extranjero if possible ..
OK... I'm going to play devil's advocate here... In the old days about half the girlie nat team was made up of Mex-Am. The fmf's plan was to make it more homegrown. Save from Monica Gonzalez and I dunno who else, overall there's a lot less MexAm than in the past. Would it be safe to say that the reluctance to call MexAm girls has resulted in the girl's team going down as of lately?
yes but only because the universities in Mexico had just gotten with the program and started "good" fem soccer teams.. Cuz we know fem soccer in American colleges had been going strong for decades.. So.. there is a lot of truth in your assumption ..
nah...i think Cuellar has been doing an exceptional job with the women's team. and i am glad that the FMF is finally getting thier sh!t together and starting to fund the women's team more.
