If you or anyone thinks we are disgracing the Ultras title, guess what, we don't give a ********. No one likes us and we don't care. We are here for CHIVAS USA and not here to worry about anyone outside of our group. We might not be a huge supporters group yet, but we sing and chant our asses off in every match. It is very heartbreaking to read that John said that we don't know what to do. I will make sure to ask him this evening at the Season ticket holder preseason party, and if he said it, I would like to know why, and if he didn't say it, then we just move on. You know what, why don't you post some video and pix of you and your supporters group so we can learn from you guys. It would be awesome to learn from supporters as great as yourself.

Seriously. If I had to watch that shit they call football at Bolton I'd be pretty pissed too.

Look, first you criticize MLS/America for not having passionate fans. Then when it's pointed out that there are passionate fan groups, you say they're just imitating other groups around the world.

Soccer culture is young here, but it's growing. I guarantee you if you went to a DC United (oh no, they STOLE the name "United"!) game you'd change your appreciation for US fan culture.

Now, go piss off and worry about your ensuing relegation fight.

Oh no, I'm going to cry now. Someone from a little cold island thinks American X culture sucks, what's new...I bet the view from England to Los Angeles is really great.

Hold on, I'm going to cry some more.

Right you all took this a little seriously.

There are Spanish teams called Athletic because it was set up by English workers there, there are Argentinian teams with English names for the same reason, all the sharing of names is because these clubs were set up by immigrants many years ago, but the point is your teams were not.

I didn't say any of this to make any of you feel small or even cry, I was just trying to help out as this is the team in America I support, of course you reject this and say you are doing just fine. I guess football in america doesn't need to appeal to a worldwide audience yet and you'll do just fine with what you're currently doing.

John Cunliffe never said you were bad fans. Trying to insult the team I support is pathetic.

Actually, your attempt to pontificate on this forum is pathetic.

I hope Bolton wins the BPL this year, tosser.

I have no idea what these words/conditions you are saying mean. I bet you thought when the US was 5th in the FIFA rankings that it was your rightful place. :D

It is obvious from our responses that we love and support our team! I appreciate that you support my team and I know it is because your friend and fellow countryman is on it and I think that's great that you support him. I supported your team at one point when my favorite player was there, Jared Borgetti. The way you came off was very arrogant and that is why our reactions were that way. I think that your approach was wrong and you could have done it differently in which we would have respected you and your opinion. We support our team no matter what. Our love for our team is as great as yours for Bolton. You say we cannot understand that, but clearly we do. I was unable to ask John yesterday regarding what you mentioned, that the fans don't know what to do, because I was unable to go to the Season Ticket Holder Party due to family obligations, but I will ask him as soon as I get the chance. I will continue to support all of our players and my team no matter what. FYI, Chivas USA was set up by immigrants as well. :D

Coming from you, that is sheer comedy! What the hell has England done in the past 40 years? I think it is you that overestimates "English" football. Let's be honest, the EPL was wise in deciding to dump the crappy domestic player for superior foreign talent. The EPL is merely English in name. Just remember, as our Yanks enter the EPL another crappy Brit loses his job.

By the way: Enjoy the "watching" the European Championship!!! Go Croatia!!!

How have I overestimated English football? I haven't even commented on it. The quality of English footballers is in no doubt but this isn't the issue, and about an English person losing their job that is wrong, the influx of foreign talent has helped boost other teams, which is why the Championship is by far the best second tier in world football, that is without doubt. I don't nuderstand why you feel the need to try and insult me merely because I expressed some opinions probably not in the correct way as explained by micho. I understand this and appologise.

And micho I must say I respect everything you just said and think you are more or less correct, I also have no issue with Chivas USA as they haven't just taken the name of another club and called themselves Chivas United or something, I appreciate that it was set up by immigrants.

Actually, Chivas USA was brought up by Club Deportivo Guadalajara from the FMF (Mexican League). Chivas, which means goats, was a nickname given to Club Deportivo Guadalajara and therefore brought to the USA by the current owner of CD Guadalajara. So we actually did bring a name from another club, by its owner. Here's a pic of my Bolton Kit:

Haha nice one, but you didn't steal a name and used it without meaning though did you? The name actually still has it's roots.

    BOLTONMASSIV,

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRY, YOU ARE ALREADY A TROLL. YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT OUR GROUP AND WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH BUT THIS YOU SHOULD KNOW, ENGLISH MAN... UNWANTED ADVICE IS NEVER WELCOME.
AS FOR CUNLIFFE, HIS JOB IS TO PRODUCE ON THE PITCH AND HE SHOULD MAKE THAT HIS TOP PRIORITY BECAUSE WHO KNOWS, MAYBE HE WILL NOT MAKE THE TEAM NEXT YEAR AND IF HE CAN`T MAKE IT IN THE MLS, WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO? GO BACK TO ENGLAND? IF SO, THEN I WISH HIM LUCK BECAUSE HE WILL NEED IT.

BMassiv - damn, these guys are just giving you crap left & right. I know some of these guys and they very passionate about Chivas USA, to be sure. I think that most have killed before too! (usually la galaxy fans - so no real loss)

Anyway - thanks for making this a lively thread. Good luck with City this weekend.

I think we could all do without your "help". I got news for you - insulting US fan culture does nothing for growing the game here. It's like me going to a Bolton board and railing on your piss-poor squad.

People posting on this board and thread are die-hard fans, either of Chivas or another MLS team. We're out there every week watching the games and supporting the team. You don't need to come here and say "You lot are sorry excuses for fans and need to sing more."

You might think this is "trying to help", but it really just smacks of your typical UK/Euro fan denigrating the burgeoning soccer culture here in the U.S. I got news for you - while British fans are incredibly passionate and have one of the best leagues in the world, there are quite a few other places that rival it in terms of fanaticism, Mexico and South America being prime examples. There are tons of people in our country of Latino descent and know every bit about the game and what it means to be a fan as you do.

And all of this from a Bolton fan? Seriously? Every time I see a game at the Reebok there are LOADS of empty seats and the visiting fans' section always out-sings y'all. But maybe my TV is deceiving me.

I suggest you make the trip to LA and check out your boy Cunliffe and the Chivas supporters (hey, maybe you'll actually get to see the sun for once!). The numbers of fans aren't there yet, but there's definitely passion. Progress, in terms of growing a sport here that has had a backseat to all the other major sports for far too long is slow, but we're making it. No, we're not a passionate nation, as a whole, for the beautiful game yet, but we're getting there.

And trying to insult the supporters of our team is pathetic. You're preaching to the choir, mate, and few, if any, will take some Bolton internet message board poster to heart. All you're doing is making yourself look like an ass in the process.

You wanna contribute to the fan culture here? Come up with some songs, be positive, etc. Don't write us off as know-nothings and unpassionate fans who are just trying to rip off other teams. You won't get much other than jabs at your bottom-dwelling Wanderers if you do.

I've not tried to insult anyone sorry, and I wasn't aware I needed your permission to provide some advice, also taking jabs at my team isn't going to hurt me, I can't take a bit of banter it doesn't look like you can.

We will lose to City no worries, cheers anyway.

AndSomeAreAngels are you having a laugh? :D You're mad pal.

Other people have been far more disrespectful, perhaps I started this by saying what I did in an incorrect manner, but that definitely doesn't justify some of the reactions. :D

A players job is not just to play football, it is to improve the image of the club aswell.

Bolton Soccer here is a BUSINESS players do get paid to play, they have personal services contracts and appearance fees to help build the image of the game. Some do a better job than others in thos area.
Does it suck that the players don't live and die for their team YES but that what the sports culture has become in the US. ANY player can bought oir traded if the deal is right, management has no loyalty to the players or the players to the team. In the end the fans are one who care the most about the team.

Of course NONE of this has anything to do with the supporters groups so if you want to continue this start a thread in the regular forums.
