Now that the game has been officially announced, we should start talking about flights, hotel plans, and pre match meeting points. We have ten from the SCB coming to England for this one, and a few of us are staying at the Howard Winchester hotel, which is .1 miles from the King's Cross station. I know that near Wembley there are a lot of buildings and shops, so possibly we could all meet at one of the pubs near Wembley Park so we can march in together. Chase
I am there, and would image that a lot of other US military guys in the UK would be searching for ticktes.
http://www.bootsnall.com/internationalairfare/r/LON/Airfare-to-London airfare's not too bad right now, its been cheaper but its still pretty cheap.
I booked through Expedia, and found airfar round trip for $ 622.00 . I found it for as low as 603 coming out of LAX. This game won't happy again for a long time, let's take advantage of it.
I am in. I am gonna try to start figuring out the logistics of this trip. Does anyone know anything about tickets? Is Sam's Army handling it? American Outlaws? USSF? By the way I intend to bring my Betsy Ross flag and parchment copy of the Declaration of Independence.
So far we have 2 coming for this game. Still deciding if we can make it 2 weeks to head to Spain also.
I've got myself and another guy interested. Depends on if I can get a buddy pass. But I'll definitely be paying attention to this thread.
How will expatriates get tickets? I live in London so buying a travel package makes no sense, but I want to score a pair of tickets to the match.
Just want to mention that, according to everything I've heard, traffic going to the new Wembley can be a nightmare. Get to the stadium early whether you are going by train or car.
Just bought my own ticket and I'm in. It's always nice to have family though, cuz staying with my English cousins is going to save me some serious money (going for 6 nights).
My Bro and I want to go, but he has no passport. Does anyone know if their is a chance in getting one in time?
Ticket info : US soccer will be organizing ticketing, as they have received an allocation of tickets for US fans. If the English FA does it like they do for other away supporters, we will all be together in the same corner of the stadium. info will be finalized soon. Chase
This could be a big week for US soccer. I have my tentative itinerary set to get in England on the 28th and then go on to Spain the 31st-5th. Saved about $500 bucks! Does anyone know if the Spain game is definitely in Seville??
Of course. He just needs to pay extra money to go thru the EXPEDITED process to get it. You get it back in like 2 weeks. He needs to get on it.
haha, I have been in contact with the event coordinator at US soccer regarding this match, as he is also helping us set everything up down here in Southern California for the qualifier in June. Details should be out soon !
