Great news for me since my season tickets are in section 107. I look foward to hearing all the chants and mayhem that goes along with it.

I'm not trying to 'troll' or anything here, but I don't understand why you are calling yourself Ultras, to me your disgracing that title, I can never see a Chivas USA fan fighting for his team or even singing when you're losing. If there's one thing that needs to be brought into the American version it's an atmosphere at the stadium and some real songs and chants. I'm really good mates with John Cunliffe as we both lived in the same village and town and went to the same schools all our life and the one thing he says is disappointing about it is how the fans don't seem to know what to do, my advice is lose all the foam hand,s the stupid hats and whatever and sing your heart out.

As you obviously have never seen or heard an MLS game I'll educate you a little. Chivas fans most definitely sing when there losing (as do all real MLS fans) and while some of the songs are traditional, Ole ole ole, etc. many, if not all, MLS supporters groups have their own songs. I've been to many MANY MLS games and have never ever seen a foam finger so I'm sorry but that's just ignorance. As far as "stupid hats" well; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?view=BLOGDETAIL&grid=F11&blog=yourview&xml=/news/2007/11/21/view21b.xml you be the judge. Thanks for "not trolling" but we here in the USA are doing just fine when it comes to football culture.

I'm not up for starting an argument or anything, but I have seen MLS games, one match in particular I remember one set of fans chanting " Magic Water.." and I remember feeling embarassed for them, and this is what every game I've seen has been like, it sounds like a Hockey match most of the time, just clapping songs and all that's missing is the organ. As for when I said foam hands I have seen them in every game I've watched but I was mainly referring to the culture that we call Americanisation over here. This is after all what one of your players has said to me, so don't you think he could have a point or are you going to dismiss what he's saying and call him ignorant aswell. You have a unique footballing culture over in American I'll give you that, but that doesn't mean that it's good.

    Damn brother,

You seem to have a very narrow perspective of what kind of fans we are here in the states. You need to come to Los Angeles and experience FORZA ULTRA American-style. Chivas USA has two groups with two different styles and that gives fans more options. We encourage you to watch only Chivas USA games to know what we are talking about.

One additional point to mention..... John Cunliffe tossed his game worn shirt to this group after a match last season, and has been supportive every time I've talked to him. However, I see the point, and many US fans just don't understand the passion involved. At Chivas USA matches we'll continue the singing and try to get more people to jump on board. But leave the foam finger thing out of it. My grandad founded US Foamworks, which has become one of the worlds largest finger exporters. We get tons of orders from the UK and we'll have a Wanderer's "we're not #1, but here's our thumb" version coming out later this year.

I don't support Bolton because I think we're number 1, I support them because they are the team I have been brought up with, the team from my home town, and the team that I love. You wouldn't understand this.

WOW!!! So you've come here to sport both ignorance and arrogance. I must say that I am not impressed. The Ultras are here to support our club at any cost. We have an original list of over 20 songs that are actually multilingual. Many of these songs are situational and fueled with local pride. We would welcome you to experience our version of what we call "awante" but hey, you wouldn't understand this.

hroth seemed to make it out as if the only reason to support a team was if it was number 1, I was explaining this isn't the case. I just see your Ultras as a bit of a rip off, in Italy and places the Ultras are like tribes, it's like your just jumping on another footballing title and misusing it. Real Salt Lake, Dc United etc.

This is the soccer world where eveyone has ripped off something from some other country. Italy Ultras sing Argentinian chants, Spain has teams with Athletic on their name, Uruguay has a Wonderers of Montevideo, Mexico had a Real Club España. The soccer culture is global and every country takes what they identify with the most.
