Maybe it has something to do with him getting in the head/hair of defenders marking him..... FINALLY some news on a new striker....hope this happens soon and the paperwork goes through quickly.
According to Goff: He's Off to See the Wizards He's close, anyway. The word on this Friday night is that Kansas City is in the late stages of talks with Argentine forward Claudio Lopez about becoming the club's first designated player. A few days after telling you that the sides were in serious negotiations, we are being told by one source that a deal could be completed this weekend and announced in the following days. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2008/02/hes_off_to_see_the_wizards.html
this would be ace. it's something i never expected for us until 2010... and honestly, i still don't expect it. although, if he's visiting with the club, that means they're negotiations are at least in the same ballpark, pun intended. anyone know what his recent injury record is?
Wow, very unexpected. I could definatly get behind that though. He played with Blanco at America, right? That could get interesting.
yeah he played with my beloved team. Lopez, temo. and kleber was the best forwards in the mexican league and had i think 24 games winning streak.
It may not make us contenders, but it sure as hell makes me feel better that we will only see Pore after the 80th minute.
I couldnt agree with you more. Pore can score all the goals for the reserves because he cant seem to do anything for the first team.
I was at World Class Coaching seminar in KC this weekend, Onalfo mentioned being close to signing an Argentinian forward, said he couldn't give specifics but hoped to announce something by today.
I just hope they get this done a little quicker than Trujillo's deal so that we can get him in with the team during the trip to Argentina. It will be nice to come back from SA with some new goalscorers!
