Now now...you talk nice about the one established team that you're guaranteed to finish ahead of in the standings your first year. ;)

Now, as for the sponsor of the team (something to keep in mind for the design), MLS wanted to have companies with "national" reach. That doesn't explain Amigo Energy, but who am I to judge?

That being said, I'd love to have Tastykake or Wawa on the front, but it's probably NGH. Merck is a rich company, and so are Bristol Myers Squibb, DuPont, and all of the multinationals that haven't left Delaware yet to incorporate in The Cayman Islands. They may not take a flyer on sports sponsorship.

Modell's is pretty big; they also sell a lot of soccer gear.

But in terms of crossover reach, cash flow, and appeal in sport, in music, and in aesthetics, plus a nationally-recognized Philadelphia-based business, there's only one choice.

Yeh, then the team's NEW unies would all be throw-ups.

That badge above looks like two elephants humping a volleyball; nice work though. I just hope they don't pick any loud colors. The Galaxy's uni's are pretty damn cool, the Red Bulls are freaking awful, Houston's are kinda cool.
Those uni pics above aren't too bad, the scheme is nice. What about using the same colors as the Eagle's. I'm from Pittsburgh and I've always thought it cool that all the city's teams use the same colors.

They didn't always in Pittsburgh, but then all the teams aligned to the colors of the city flag.

The blue and gold are the city flag colors here and we (at least in prior polls) would like to see the team clad in them.

Yeah, that'd be cool. It would give the team a close identity with the city. Very exciting news.

Here is an "exploding" away and change. Also, mattie g's suggestion.

    Outstanding designs!
Let's hope the owners decide to go w/ some of these concepts.
These colors really work. mattie g's idea (REALIZE - this is the former Fury color scheme) is also very effective.

Now THIS is sweet. I really like the others, too, but not *quite* as much as this one - the bottom one is just delicious. I love the yellow sock theme. Rep for you, DjT.

    Me likey likey...

Obviously Adidas will change patterns again before 2010.
I hope they go back to something with less built in panels.
    Like the older ones.

Agreed - the top/NEWER(?) one is way too busy!
Those navy (which I USUALLY don't like) sox are HOT - provide a really good contrast to the lighter shades.
And blue, THE most visible color, is excellent on the field.

I like the idea of quarters... for the badge. But I think quarters on the top generally doesn't look good and would hope they avoid it. I would love to see more variety in jersey patterns in MLS, but I don't think we need to go with quarters to get that. Personally, I'd be happy to see additional teams with vertical or horizontal stripes (and more not having them be red/white also).

That said, I think it would be cool to see some quarters or other heraldic motifs in the badge of the team. MLS badges tend to be somewhat banal.

Yeah... I was going to try quarters, but I haven't seen any ADIDAS team with them, so I skipped it for now. My guess is the second jersey type would better suit the quarters:

This is sweet, I think it would be perfect for a 3rd jersey. Break this bad boy out once or twice a season.

I'll pass on this one, good work though, nice design. But we're not the Redskins.

Then some people are spending entirely too much time in the basement drinking JFA(hope your saving some for the rest of us) :p

Ok the colors are based on heritage, but I look at that kit and I immediately think Redskins(dry heave), sorry.
