Adams en Gazza in MLS. No tx, would look like NASL, part 2 MLS doesn't need players like Gazza en Adams. To old and not good enough their own league. These players are history.
Why is it that everyone is so opposed to experienced players coming here to help the young players learn? We can't only have "young American" players, as they'll have no-one to learn from. Most club teams around the world contain players in the "senior" category, just for that reason.
Looks like Gazza is on his way to either a Scottish team ( can't remember who?? ) or English Division 3 team, Exeter City. IMO, Gazza should hang-up his boots. The guy was a great player in his prime, but he's just making himself a laughing stock by carrying on. That said, I agree with Stuart about the old players. If a player has looked after himself and avoided serious injury, players have been known to play well into their 30's and still be fine players. Take Gary McAllister, he was 36-37 and a regular first teamer in the Liverpool team that won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup in the 00/01 season. Of course, I have a vested interest since my team just signed 36 year old Denis Irwin from Man.U and 34 year od Paul Ince from Middlesbrough! :-D

Well we have them (or at least the Fire does: Nowak, Stoichkov), but the reality is that this sort of thing fails more often than it works and often you wind up having to play a player of lesser quality over a kid that could use the playing time. I don't think either Adams or Gascoigne wanted to come over here and be player coaches (though Adams probably does have coaching ambitions, probably not here though). I liked the idea of Adams (for the reasons you mentioned) but not so much Gazza. Considering Adams turned us down and we turned Gazza down, it seems like we were in the right both times.
