This week the FHF announced the new men's national team coach will be Edwidge Dufresne from the United States of America, this news coming after Luis Garcia decided to resign last month.

Yeah i've never heard of him either but it doesn't hurt to take a chance on a foreign coach even though i've heard that he's of Haitian descent which will help in how he communicates with the team.

:D That's quite funny. That Dufresne thing was intended to be a joke on the sakapfet.com forum. Actually, Dufresne is none other than the poster himself! Unfortunately, some guys fell for it.

I think we will have a world-class coach because more and more foreign-based players of Haitian descent are joining the team. We have to keep this momentum and establish ourselves as true contenders for a WC spot in the qualifying.

My gut feeling is that the next coach will be from Europe, probably a Frenchman given the fact that French coaches have been able to raise the football level of most West-African teams. With the high level of talents we have in our team, we are in a dire need for an experienced coach who can take us to the next level.

it is reported now that Wagneau Eloi will be the next head coach. His assistant coach would be Samuel Ipoua ( an ex international from Cameroon) and Jean-Luc Lamarche as the technical director (I believe was the recruitor for FC Lens in Ligue1)

if this is true, what do you think?

    Confirmed.

Although I have no problem with eloi, but I am not confortable with the idea of hiring somebody who has zero coaching experience.
