With the sales of Fernando Avalos and Diego Benaglio, It is safe to day Nacional are kind of screwed but they have great replacements in their squad so I expect a great Nacional at the Luz.

    My Squad:

    ------------------------------Quim----------------------
    --------------------Luisao----------Edcarlos--------------
    Nelson--------------------------------------------------------Sepsi
    --------------------Katsouranis-------Petit-----------------------
    Rodriguez---------------------------------------------------Di Maria
    ----------------------------Rui Costa---------------------------
    -----------------Oscar Cardozo---------Makukula--------------------

    Subs:
    Moreira
    Nuno Gomes
    Freddy Adu

I did not put David Luiz because of an injury

and if Rui is still sick then Nuno Gomes or Freddy Adu will do in the CAM role.

As much as I would like to have 12 players on the field...I don't think we can do that.

And you may want to make some changes...here is the squad

    Keepers - Quim and Butt
Defenders - Leo, Luisao, Edcarlos, Sepsi, Nelson and Luis Felipe
Midfielders - Katsouranis, Nuno Assis, Maxi, Rodriguez, Di Maria, and Petit.
Forwards - Adu, Cardozo, Nuno Gomes, Mantorras.

Rui Costa received his 5th yellow last game, so he is out for this match.

Sounds like Gomes and Cardozo might both start or Di Maria and C.Rodriguez will both start.

What a poor first half. Playing against one of the worst attacking teams in the leage and during at least the first 25 minutes they have more opportunities than we do. This should speak volumes. What will we do next season without Rui Costa? 18 games into the season and we are still playing like a group of guys that just got together to play for the first time. Is this because the quality of our players or coaching? Please spare me the excuses and some folks unconditional love for Camacho. We have enough talent to play better than this. I'm very frustrated as a fan at this point. I'm an unconditional fan but that doesn't mean I have to be happy regardless of what takes place. Makukula is very welcomed but unfortunately he is not going to fix all our problems such as getting the ball up the field in an organized manner.

I said we have enough talent to play better than this. That doesn't mean we have an overall great talent level. Learn to understand what other people are saying before you come in like a know it all.

Agreed. I think the issues start with the front office and the lack of not having a general manager. This team, which has good young talent, has been poorly constructed. Fortunately, this is something that can be fixed with the right people in place, and it starts in the front office with soccer knowledgeable people.

As for the game, Benfica failed to show any ambition to win the game, and therefore got what they deserved, a 0-0 score.

Whao!!!! I agree with you that Porto are a superb team and well deserving of the championship, but Jesualdo is not better than Camacho. I bet if you put Camacho on this Porto team they are in the exact same position they are now.

i've stated it before , Benfica is run by old farts who know nothing about soccer. All they like to do is claim they are the best team in the world LMAO. I don't see this changing for Benfica.

Just proves a point that you can't make an omlete without eggs...Porto is always top notch whoever their coach is. All these guys are good coaches but the difference is that Porto continues to put quality stuff on the field year after year and we don't. Simple and true.
