Sou mais Mengão também. Torço pela seleção brasileira por que representa nosso pais, apesar da corrupção da CBF. Eu sempre serei Mengão acima de tudo.:)

I hope that Afonso nor Love appear on the NT ever again, hopefully Luís Fabiano sealed the fate of both those clowns.

    Re: Afonso Alves

I think it should have been Dunga's new year's resolution to 'not call in vagner love'. But no, Vagner Love will still be called in. To be fair, Afonso's done very well in Holland. He's got a big mouth though, which alienated him fro mthe fans and club. I'd like to see him at a bigger club and against some better players though.

Luis Fabiano, however, is playign out of his mind right now in Spain. It'd be suicidal for Dunga to drop him right now, regardless of how infatuated he is with vagner love. heck, I'd even with for Ricardo Oliveira to come back. Or even Nilmar... I mean, Nilmar's not that old.

I'd love to see nilmar on the team, that would be sweet! I was mad when Parreira didn't call him for the 06 WC. Love to see Ibson and Léo Moura have a shot on the NT, especially Léo Moura hes been deserving since last year.

He signed a contract, but if AZ wins the case Alves has started against AZ, that contract is worthless. AZ already filed a complaaint with the FIFA, so to prevent Alves from playing a match for Boro.
If AZ wins the biggest looser will be Alves, as Heerenveen isnot going to put him on the field this season and he cannot be transferred to AZ too after the 31th of Januari.

Well after being Artilheiro do Paulistao 2006
he didn´t have an impressive start of Brasileiro
so I actually think it was right of Parreira to chose Fred instead.

But I still haven´t forgiven Parreira for not putting in Robinho or at least changing team earlier against France and screw up our possibilities of the WC championship.

Why not? Those were two class finishes. It wasnt our best defense, but it was still good play from him. he did well today.

Because calling a player up based on the performance from one game would be absurd, which I wouldn't doubt Dunga doing. AA never played well for the Seleção and I don't see that trend changing.

I don't think he was given a fair chance. Still, there are better choices like Luis Fabiano, Pato and Deivid.

But you make it seem like he didnt score 34 goals in the dutch league last season. Hell he scored 7 goals in one game, so when they dropped him ebcause he wanted a transfer, he was still top of teh charts.

Also, its not just because he scored one goal, he clearly shows that he has some abilitly, and is a class finisher. His two goals today were well taken.

How many cxhances was Alves given for the NT?

How many of them were sub appearances with 15-20 minutes left, and how many of them were starts?

    As a starter:
    Vs. Turkey
    Vs. USA

3-4 games were probably with 15-20 min and the other 2 with more time.
