A good idea? Is it going to be like Clairefontaine?

    What do you think?

    Clairefontaine:

Le Centre Technique National Fernand Sastre (Fernand Sastre National Technical Centre), commonly referred to as Clairefontaine, is the national football centre and is one of the nine élite academies of France; only the best players from the Île-de-France région train there. There are eight other élite youth academies in Metropolitan France (Castelmaurou, Châteauroux, Liévin, Dijon, Marseille, Ploufragan, Vichy and Reims) covering the whole territory.

Located 50 km southwest of Paris at Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines, Clairefontaine is arguably the finest football academy in the world - the French answer to the English FA Youth Academy, Lilleshall. Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson once said if England had the equivalent to this they would have already won a major championship. The "mecca" of French football, it has a high reputation of producing some of the world's most gifted players, including the likes of Frenchmen Nicolas Anelka, Louis Saha, William Gallas and Thierry Henry.

call Lavolpe what you want, but the man has an eye for young players

there's an article on mediotiempo where he says that he would much rather get recruits from the cantera than to sign foreigners or already established Mexican players

lavolpe is a good coach, looks like he has changed since his last stint in argentina. he has a good eye for young up and coming players. this is good news for rayados and for mexico since we are a big importer of offensive players.

    More good news.

Seems like he really wants the Mexican people to love him after his failed Argentinian crusade.

my card is maxed out. i guess i wont be buying anything that lavolpe is selling

I hope he sets up an academy. I just do not think it will work if he does what he has been doing his entire career and bring in cronys. If he brings in people that actually know how to work at the youth levels, more power to him.

what he needs to do is focus in helping rayados win. they suck and not this year but next year are going to be in danger of going down to 1a
