As reported on Steven Goff's blog. The Wizards are taking a look at this guy.

I skipped over the whole USA part of the team name when I first read it. Made reading the article a little more disappointing.

Oz City has a story on it after it appeared on Goff.

I also wrote something about it and am taking a poll for who everyone wants to see pictures or videos of from tomorrow's practice. I'll be getting pics of Kante too. Seems he's a Jack(Jewsbury) of all trades as he's played F, M and D at times. A former Comet too.

A former Comet, hmmmm, a little underwhelming.

    I thought the same.
Plus the fact that it seems he was on defense at practice and if you ask me, he has to really show well to oust our draft picks. Sometimes multiple position can equate to ... no position. I am thinking Jewsbury.

I was wondering where I knew the name from. I remember the name but cant remember much about him.

If I do remember right, he is a bigger guy.

I just realized that I did see Kante on Monday. I initally referred to him as Raushawn McKenzie. I have now printed a correction of the story at http://kansascitysoccerreview.wordpress.com

Also, I had his picture too. His touch was off an on. I and know I wrote abot how I thought his weight/height was incorrect (30 pounds can look like a lot)

ozcity lists him as a defender/forward...i suppose if he could actually be a forward that that might help a little.

he's listed as forward/defense, but from reading about him on the Crystal Palace USA site, he played strictly defense last season. My guess he's listed as a forward because he played some there in indoor. His strike rate for his outdoor teams is too poor (34 games played 1 goal outdoors according to wiki) to be a worth while striker.

amazingly enough, that 1 goal was CP-USA's first goal ever. Also, wasn't he a defender for all of those outdoor clubs? anyway, I know its a stretch, but we do need forwards.

That's my point though. His game outdoors appears to be as a defender, not a forward.
