Pineda is also injured. Solis will probably play on the left wing.:(

Now Flores has to start Arrellano!!

I've been wanting to see how this team would do without Ramon.

And it sounds like Medina will be back.
Does Flores play him for Baez, in the position he used him last season? Or does he try to play him up top and move Santana back?

I remember seeing Baez in Medina's carrilero position. If Santana and Medina on the pitch together then Medina plays the carrilero, i believe. would like that reversed though. Medina played better as a forward in Apertura '06. isnt that the way he scored more goals?

Presumably exchange two of those for Araujo and Avila for Saturday's game, but it still doesn't make the team that much older.

By the way, has anyone heard why they switched the time of the game to 9pm Guadalajara time? All I can think of is they are trying other times to see if they can get better crowds.

The average age of the team is something that both causes concern, and joy. During some lapses in games they seem disciplined and play some badass one-touch ball, but then during other lapses they fall into dumb fouls, nervous passes, and frustrating decisions. Growing pains I suppose.

The time of the game was pushed back due to the Copa Chivas final.

    Thanks differential.

I think I'm going senile. I remember reading a while ago that the final would be at the Jalisco as a pregame to the Chivas-Morelia, but I completely forgot. Speaking of which, we should know within minutes (if not already) who the finalists are.

The players concentrated for this game are the following:
    Luis Michel
    Alfredo Talavera
    Jonny Magallón
    Francisco Javier Rodríguez
    Sergio Santana
    Omar Bravo
    Gonzalo Pineda
    Javier Hernández
    Héctor Reynoso
    Sergio Ávila
    Antonio Olvera
    Xavier Báez
    Marco Fabián
    Édgar Solís
    Patricio Araujo
    Javier Ledesma
    Alberto Medina
    Omar Arellano

Keep in mind that Esparza/Mejia/Medina/Morales are out injured..Pineda has just been given the OK to play so he's on the list.

He will probably start with this 11:

    Michel
    Magallon
    Reynoso
    Olvera Or Pineda
    Rodriguez
    Araujo
    Baez
    Solis
    Avila
    Bravo
    Santana

Hopefully our injured players recover by Libertadores. Thats when depth will be an advantage.

Medina is also on the list. Hopefully he'll play, though I wouldn't mind seeing Arellano in there.

Yes, i would also like to see those two play. Arellano usually makes a difference to our attack once he comes off the bench.

Medina and Pineda are back. Usually these lineups are accurate so we should see this one. Flores playing with two possible right-mids (Baez,Medina, and Santana). Medina can play left-mid also so i think he play on that side.

    -----------Michel---------
    Reynoso--Magallon--Rodriguez--
    -----Araujo-------Olvera-----
    Baez-------Avila---------Medina--
    ----Santana-------Bravo--------

    Chivas now up 2-0.

from a corner that Avila took. it looked like Santana first put the ball down with his head then it went towards Reynoso and he put it in.

you are correct about Avila's shot he hit the post. he assisted in the second goal. the first goal was a penalty as someone brought down Santana in the box. and Santana took it.
