I am guessing that the Manchester United vs Arsenal match is only going to be available in pubs. Who else confirm that for me? Also, anyone know a pub in Montreal that will carry the match.
Most of the matches that have been on Setanta PPV have also been on Fox Sports World Canada. Perhaps this will be another one of those...
I don't know the answer to your first question - however, the best footie pub in Montreal is Champs, which is approximately one mile north of McGill/downtown Montreal. They've carried Euro qualifiers, FA Cup, you name it. Friendly staff, decent eats.
It will be on PPV in the States for sure but that doesn't mean its only available in pubs. Either at home or at a pub, you're gonna have to ante up the $20-25 to see it live.
I checked the Setanta website that lists the venues and this one doesn't seem to be listed. Any idea why?
Not sure, but i wouldn't worry about it. I went to Champs when I was in Montreal for the Under-20 World Cup this past summer. It's the second-best football pub I've seen in North America. They show everything.
FOX Sports World Canada, not Setanta, has the rights to all FA Cup games in Canada. Man Utd vs Arsenal will air LIVE on FOX Sports World Canada. In the U.S., FOX Sports Int'l Pay-per-view will have the match. Setanta is handling the distribution of FOX Sports Int'l Pay-per-view telecasts to pubs in the U.S. ONLY.
Does that mean that I don't have to pay an entrance fee? If it is on Fox Sports Canada then a place like Champs should show it.
Very likely. The FA Cup is the only redeeming thing about FSWC this year...other than that the channel is in the toilet.
