    This is a great article. It illustrates perfectly the business-like approach our owners and politicians have taken and gives me real hope that we are very close. Reading between the lines, it is the additional development, the privately funded development by BPG, that has opened doors on this project. The stadium by itself would have been a non-starter but the allure of revitalizing a once great town has almost made this an acceptable application of funds during a time when inclumbents due for re-election are being miserly.

    A good, non sugar-coated article that could lend fuel to either the optimists or the pessimists.

    And while I feel this was a more positive article than negative, a looming recession and a possible $1.5 billion State budget shortfall (wost case scenario), as recently mentioned in Forbe's, is worrisome.

    I like seeing a bit of optimism in politicians. Maybe some day Pileggi will become a soccer fan.
