Where in MD are you? That'll help narrow down the choices, and perhaps get you some other good ones that may be in VA or DC.

I've been gone for some years but I remember a soccer store across the street from the BestBuy and Land Rover dealership in Rockville. It was right next to a BBQ shop. Also, there was another store near the Design Expo shopping center in Bethesda, next to Montgomery Mall (or is that now Westfield?) The soccer store was right next to the pizzeria.

Well, its not in southern MD, but I really like both Soccer American stores, even though they're a little hard to find. One location is in Kensington, right off Connecticut Ave, and the other is in Columbia, on Dobbin Rd (right off 175). The same guys run both stores, and they seem to do a great job with equipment as well as jerseys, posters, and other swag.

Here's their website for better directions: http://www.socceramerican.com/

If youre in Southern, there is a large soccer shop near the Toyota dealership in Alexandria.

Have you tried Soccer Plus in Waldorf? It's just off Rt 5, about 1/2 mile from 301.

I haven't been there in years, but it showed up on Google Maps.

I would recommend that one as well, assuming it's still operating. It was the only soccer shop around when I lived in Leonardtown.

I live in Waldorf when I'm not at school...the shop has gone downhill. I think the only boots you might find there are discounted ones and of that sort.

But if it's not far, why not check it out.

That's too bad. For a outpost like it was it wasn't that bad of a shop (though my experiences are 10 years old at this point).

CommanderCool84, if you're not willing/able to drive to some of the better shops in the DC area, Eurosport (www.soccer.com) is still a fine alternative.

It is kind of funny. They used to be the place to get gear (but I'm going back 25 years or so)....

The Questra I believe. The best soccer ball ever created, IMO.

Just seconding Rockville Soccer for a good selection. I have a soft spot for Soccer American in Kensington since I grew up nearby and loved to stop in there - they have less selection in terms of existing teams shirts (ie European and MLS) but they're great equipment wise.

There's one in Northern VA called Soccer Kicks. I got really nice cleats and indoor shoes there.

Yep. That was the one. I loved playing with it. Some people couldn't believe I didn't put it in a case, but I was like what would be the point if I can't use it. I loved that ball.

I get all my gear from Soccer American.

PJ's (behind Montgomery Mall) is a good spot too. Nice collection of replica shirts.

Holabird Sports outside of Baltimore has a decent selection of boots, at pretty good prices.

They have your Total90s on sale for $50

I just drove past it last week and wondered what it was (not familiar with that area). Thanks, I will have to check the place out.
