“I think too much is made of this whole Philly-St. Louis thing,” Cooper said.

“The only Philadelphia-St. Louis battle that interests me is the one that will take place on the soccer field.”

Also, for those that think if we don't get number 16 we are done, Cooper doesn't agree. And I guess St. Louis United is not the official womens team name, yet...

Kudos. You all certainly have a great front man and owner.

    Well that's comforting... slightly.

I appreciate his optimism, but I'm not going to be comforted until Garber says "here's your team, St. Louis."

True. But this quote is somewhat telling from someone so involved in inside talks with MLS...

"The only real question is whether Philadelphia is (franchise) Number 16 or 17 or whether St. Louis is MLS team Number 16 or Number 17. I’m extremely confident that in the end, both cities will have teams.”

It's just the reproduction - the website still has the original colors.

Yeah, I agree that Philly and St. Louis shouldn't get too heated. At this point it's a given that the two cities will be MLS franchises #16 and #17.

Not necessarily. MLS might award Philly their team, then decide we haven't been screwed enough yet, and dick around with us for a few more years.

I'm confused. You can't just punch everything first it was capuchin monkeys, then toddlers, now kitty cats. Pick one. Punching toddlers is worse than puppies. Well done.

Why not them all? And technically, it's not me punching the kitten; it's God. I don't make this stuff up, it's true.

Neither puppies nor toddlers nor monkeys have ever done anything to me. Here's who I'd rather punch:

    --the MLS Board of Governors
    --the Pennsylvania State Legislature
--the super-zillionaire jagoffs in the Philly ownership group - despite the fact that they apparently crap pure unalloyed gold, they're holding the whole damn process up for a corporate welfare handout

Oh, I completely agree. Puppies and toddlers are just closer and, let's face it, more convenient to punch.

Just for the record, I never intended on punching any toddlers, much less my son. I was trying to say that my son would be sad if we didn't get a team.

Sorry, dude, I've already called DFS.

No, I knew that's what you meant. Somewhere between then and now, the idea of toddler-punching entered the picture.

I've actually heard rumors that Don Garber punches toddlers... everday. He can't stop... has them brought in to his office. The MLS board is going to great lengths to keep it under wraps. Just sayin'.
