Who's got the hardest shot in Holland, folks????

I know Ruud, vPersie, Gio and Heitinga can all hit them
Sneijder also, although he's more finesse

    Opinions??

Stats like these aren't that important over here. Occasionally they show the speed in km/h of a certain shot or goal on TV, but they never keep track.

Not Sneijder. His shots are generally scrappy curlers or bouncers. Babel has a nice foot.

I've never seen Babel rip one, but I'll take your word for it

I'm still waiting for a Koeman clone!
Hotdamn I remember the 1994 QF against Brazil (which I attended at the Cotton Bowl), he hit one into the Brazilian wall, and all those Brazil defenders were in agony for a few seconds :D

I remember some football show in the late eighties doing something like that every week, measuring the power of a shot with some kind of machine. Ronald Koeman was not the one with the hardest shot but a guy called Duim who played for PEC Zwolle (FC Zwolle nowadays).

Oh the pain! I was at that match and remember Oranje getting screwed by the Third World officals who could not understand the offside rule. I real travesty that match.

As for Ronald Koeman he certainly hit a very heavy ball. Great player too.

For more recent times Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink also hit a thunderous ball.

Van Persie, hands down. His kicks are unstoppable, too much power, especially from the dead ball situation. Second I'd say Seedorf, on his best days. Anybody remembers Seedorf's goal from almost the halfway line when he played for Real Madrid back in the late 90's. It wasn't a lob or anything, it was a pure rocket shot.

Indeed it was Capello in charge. Seedorf has scored some tremendous goals it must be said.

You didn't find it odd he listed Ruud, van Persie and Sneijder as options?
