    Sorry - I didn't realize that a new thread had started.

    Good to see Derb get the start

    Seven minutes into the game and neither team seems to be able to put more than a couple of passes together before losing the ball.

    Dunn was very lucky not to have gotten a card on that one.

    The mods don't like it when a match thread doesn't have " [R] " in it... hence the new thread.

    I noticed that too, but I must admit I didn't get the "spoon" part.

    There was an episode where The Tick decided that he wanted to have a superhero catch phrase and decided to try out 'Spoon!!!' as a catch phrase. It was a lot funnier than it probably sounds.

    R = Results

    Damn damn damn we missed the penalty. WTF was Derb doing taking a penalty?? Why not Rocky??? Why not Betns??? Why not anyone else but a kid???

    Derb hurt -- fell right on his back.

    The funniest to me was the episode where the Tick heard that the earth was to be destroyed and responded: "Egad. That's where I keep my stuff!!".

    I don't suppose that when I'm standing with La Barra Brava in RFK I should yell out "Spoon", do you?

    Somehow it would be very lost in the translation.

    I think my favourite Tick line was when he presents the commissioner with the Tick Signal and explains that whenever the city is in danger, all he needs to do is shine the Tick Signal to alert him. The commissioner replies, "Yeah, but Tick, we already have your home phone number"

    Is this show still on?? You and Seahawk have me got me right interested in watching it... It sounds like the same sort of humor as "Captain Star".

    Nope...sadly it's gone. They even tried to make a TV show out of it with live actors, but that didn't last either.

    OK. I'm out of here. Too much to do and weekends are much too short.

    Hopefully at the half Hughes will remind our boys that they play a lot better when the keep the damned ball on the ground rather than hoofing it hopefully up-field.

    [grumble]This is why my soccer-playing daughter hates the Premiership and won't watch it.[/grumble]
