Perhaps you would also like to give us your insightful opinions regarding Dema Kovalenko and Jessie Marsch, just to name two.

If you think the Big Fish is dirty than I guess you have never seen Kevin "Get out of Harmse way" play.

Sounds like the original poster is bitter that his hero Pavon got cut and Ruiz got added.

Uuummmm... a little. In my humble opinion. They didn't give him the chance to excel. Given the fact that there where a lot of changes this past year and they dragged him half way through the season. But Ruiz? C'mon... you & I know that there is other better players then him. He is a dirty player. I can't stand shit players like that. Not good for the game.

Wow, this thread has taken a terrific turn towards a real classy direction! We should sticky it so everyone can participate in such high brow discourse!

Mods just close it, nothing productive will come from this. If this guy wanted anything other than attention he would have posted his thoughts in one of the countless other Ruiz threads.

Look, I posted a comment that I thought would bring a discussion... a educated discussion. I never brought any other motives and yet A-holes somehow surface with their smart comments. Always happens in threads I guess. Yes, I started the thread but if want to start flamming... I'm all game.

Now, if people want to keep it open and have a real good discussion why this a bad choice because, he is a dirty player. My opinion and I'm sure that there are others out there with some educated comments.

An educated post to start an educated discussion.

That being said, I would kill to have Ruiz on my team. I'm just not sure if he would be able to displace Kei Kamara out of the starting lineup..

Hey, it's a valid statement! C'mon, seriously... how many times have we seen this guys game. He is a dirty player that might bring us a lot of yellows and stupid calls down the strech. If you are replacing someone, replace him with a better player that is going to be good all around.

I agree with you 100% on that point. Players like Ruiz and Blanco are bad for the game of soccer (though I am not sure what they do for the sport of diving.) In fact I would go as far as to say that players like this have actually turned me off of Mexican/ South American leagues by their diving antics.

But when it comes to finishing, at this point in time, I have to believe that Ruiz is better than Pavon. Pavon was better in his younger years, but that ship has sailed.

Though I will say that if Ruiz doesn't deliver immediately, I expect him to be drawn and quartered at center spot after the third home game.

Ruiz is my guatemalan hero, he would start in the USMNT no problem, guatemalas best needs to be playing for barcelona or something
