Reading Sandon Mibut's list of Top 11 players in team history, made me think -what are everyone else's top 11 players?

    Here are mine :

    By ranking:

    1. Marco Etcheverry
    2. Christian Gomez
    3. Jaime Moreno
    4. Eddie Pope
    5. Ben Olsen
    6. Carlos Llamosa
    7. Jeff Agoos
    8. Ryan Nelsen
    9. Richie Williams
    10. John Harkes
    11. Tony Sanneh
    12. Roy Lassiter
    13. Raul Diaz Arce

ps-Luciano Emilio is very close, but he has to win an MLS Cup (or at least an International Cup) to be considered in the top XI.

I'm assuming you mean their greatness to DC United, rather than their greatness over their entire careers. If the former, Americans has a very good list. If the latter, replace Llamosa and Williams with Stoichkov and Stewart.

In your exuberance for Thor Lee, how could you possibly exclude Juan Berthy Suarez and George Gelnovatch, for heaven's sake?!

How is this different than the thread you started 3 weeks ago?

And I wouldn't worry about Emilio being close to making your Top 11 since you've got 13 on it. :D

Damn dude, another good best 11. I like it. And i love seeing rammel being on the bench. That guy was the sickness! If it wasnt for moreno he could have blown up more than he did!

Too bad he retired so early. Anyone remember why? I thought it was to coach college or something dumb like that...

I'd add one game wonders GR Cannon and Clint Baumstark to the list.

I am addicted and obsessed with everything DC United. Can't you tell?

AND it is the offseason, what else is there to do?

But seriously, Gros, Gori and Aunger are in my "favorite" players list, but are not in the "best" players list.

I started the thread, so I am entitled to some fringe benefits! :D

Seriously, I cut and pasted Sandon Mibut's words and list. Did not even stop and consider how many he had. I was having so much fun that I probably would have kept going to 20 if he had originally done that! :D

I would not put him in the best XI (or in my case best XIII) players.

But, I think he has been the best goalie in DC United's history.

I know my list is light on current players, but they still have time to move on up.

I sure hope Gomez comes back.
