First I would like to thank all involved with the Sons of Ben.
    It's founders, members and fans.
If this important model of grassroots organization hadn't been invented
by you guys, clearly...we would not exist.
I know technically we are in competition for a team, but I know you guys
deserve it, and I hope very much that the next team announced is in the great city of Philadelphia.
Hopefully in a year from now, our fledgling organization can come close to the hugeness and effectiveness as the Sons of Ben.
I hope in the future, our organizations can form a loose alliance to mutual help our teams become a reality.

As I've told Dillion in the past, that on our first official game against each other, we are going to have a massive tailgate. Food, drink, bbq the works. Then its inside and the gloves are off! Can't wait!

I still hope as a group we can do that tradition of taking the 7 train to a match! HA HA! I love the thought of that!

Thanks for the kind words guys and best of luck building what you have already laid the successful groundwork for. The Philly-NY rivalry stuff can happen sometime later. I think just like supporting the US National Team, this is one of those occasions where you join together with fellow fans.

I don't know much about the SPL so I'm hoping that you guys can give me a hand. The only thing that I know is that Cani played for Dundee and Glasglow back in the early 2000's and that Celtic has some LOUD ASS fans.

    here and there, NY
must echo the sentiments expressed about Sons of Ben.

u guys definately serve as the standard for a grass roots SG.

i honestly can't see mls going past 2010 without NYC2 and Philly.

I agree with as well. Another important fact. On all major soccer teams throughout the world the fans are as important as the front office. They opinion as a group is as important as anything else. I believe that this is a turning point in MLS. Groups like SOB and to a lesser extent what we are striving to achieve will begin to mark a difference in how soccer is managed in this country.

Yes . It's one of the few times I've ever gotten a top with a name and number on it . When one of the world's most famous footballers comes to play with your club , you need to commemorate it .

Once in a while you see one come up on e-bay

Actually, I'd prefer to see NYC in before St. Louis. There's something alluring about having an entire 7 train filled with SoBs.

That's great, but so is a "City of New Orleans"!
As long as I can come along for the ride, ...
