U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley has recalled 21 players to U.S. Soccer's National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., to begin preparations for the match against Mexico.

    ROSTER BY POSITION
GOALKEEPERS(4) – Steve Cronin (LA Galaxy), Brad Guzan (Chivas USA), Will Hesmer (Columbus Crew), Zach Wells (D.C. United)
DEFENDERS (8) –Dan Califf (Aalborg BK), Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Ramiro Corrales (SK Brann), Todd Dunivant (Toronto FC), Clarence Goodson (San Jose Earthquakes), Drew Moor (FC Dallas), Michael Parkhurst (New England Revolution), Eddie Robinson (Houston Dynamo)
MIDFIELDERS (5) –Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Justin Mapp (Chicago Fire), Pat Noonan (New England Revolution)
FORWARDS (4) – Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Chris Rolfe (Chicago Fire), Taylor Twellman (New England Revolution), Jeremiah White (AGF Aarhus)

Final roster (I HOPE) will have Altidore, Edu, Adu, Convey, Dempsey, Boca, Dolo, Onyewu, Howard and Bradley.

    Are we in trouble?

    Well..... there goes the streak.

BB already said that he is only going to bring 3-4 european based players. YOu know that Mexico is going to bring a strong side ( just to get the monkey off their back).

Well, i was shopping for tickets on ebay and going to drive to houston from Dallas, but now im staying far from this game and not taking a vacation day for the day after... SO thanks BB, you at least saved me gas and money!

Well, if he only bring 3-4, then I hope it will be Dempsey, Bradley, Bocanegra and then maybe for the fourth... Adu.

That'd be great. Adu could tell Fonseca what it's like to play and score at Benfica.

With Boca and Demps in a relegation battle, i doubt that they will be called up..

Oh well, i guess we can use the "it was only our C team" excuse.

Its a FIFA date isn't it.

If Bob wants to call them up, Fulham can't do anything about it.

So why is he only calling in 3-4 euro based players? Whats the point?

Didn't Arena field almost all MLS players vs Mexico in 2004 at the Cotton Bowl? I don't see trouble here :D

That 2004 squad against Mexico was thought to be the streak breaker for Mexico, but the game ended, 1-0, in a last second goal by Eddie Pope from a Twellman blocked header.
Well, I thought Connor Casey was the lone Euro base player at that time.
Didn't we tie and dominate Mexico in 2003 in Houston with all MLS base players?

    You are correct.

    From ussoccer.com

    Walker
    Hejduk
    Pope (Capt.) - 1
    Mastroeni
    Convey
    Armas
    Zavagnin
    Donovan
    Beasley
    Wolff (Twellman, 66)
    Casey (Kirovski, 84)

Convey was still with DC. Beasley was still with the Fire. The only Euro here was Casey who was playing in the Second Bundesliga.

When did Bradley say it was only going to be 3-4 European players?

Anyways even if it is no one panic, it will be tough but it always is and should be, and I know we can produce a good result. If it was 3-4, I would like to see Adu, and if we could get the Fulham guys (Dempsey, maybe Bocenegra or Johnson) that would be great. They got games on the 3rd and 9th, so its a possibility. But honestly, I don't want them to risk anything at Fulham, so if it is a problem, stay in England. If none of them come, how about Adu, Bradley, Howard, and Onyewu?

Also, Altidores gotta start, we need some better play at striker than Twelman.

Not to mention he only brought four last year - Howard, Boca, Convey and Dempsey. We did fine in that game...

I hope that we can get some of u-23's on the roster so they can gain some in game experience before the olympic camp, if we don't we'll lose.

I'd like to see Gooch, Mike, and Adu back at least. I think it's obvious Mikey will be going though. I just hope we can see him in a more offensive role.

Yee of little faith. Lest we forget the MLS heavy squad that dos-cero'd Mexico's A-Side last winter in Arizona.

Not an issue, we're playing Mexico, doesn't matter who we field. :p

    Cherundalo Robinson Goodson Corrales
    Donovan Bradley Clark Convey
    Twellman Adu

I believe 4 players not on the 21 man inital roster will be added and will start in the game, my guess is Cherundalo for experiance in the back, Bradley because he is in great form, Convey because without Beasley he is the best option, and Adu, he has shown real well in his little time so far and is doing well at Benfica, I know, I know I am against Twellman as well, but we need some type of target forward next to Adu, he will at least provide some workrate and we can still hopefully get our goals from other areas.

He is in U-23 camp preparing for Olympic Qualifying, I have 0 problem with this and totally agree with his picks, I would guess probably 4 Euro's will be added, so it will be a slightly better team than we had against Sweden overall, although we are missing Altidore and our forwards aren't as strong our back and midfield should be stronger, TT is in because with Eddie Johnson going overseas and Altidore with the 23's he is the best domestic forward like it or not, I am not a fan of him at this level either but he does belong in a domestic based team.

But we have Clint to fill the holding forward spot, so no worries.

That would be great but I don't think it will happen, Fulham needs him.
