MLS Rumors speculates either KC or DC will use a DP spot to acquire the Argentine international. FWIW, they give the move their top rating for credibility.
Worse rumor site ever. Jade (yes it is Jade who does it) is trying way to hard. At least she's using real articles now instead of saying her "sources" are saying something. There's nothing in the linked articles that mentions anything about KC or DC. And her saying it's the top rating for credibility, holds no credibility. look at these incoming rumors she posted and the credibility of it happening. This AFTER real news articles came out saying Ronaldo was going to Brazil... http://mlsrumors.blogspot.com/2007/12/incomingoutgoing-its-transfer-time-mls.html That blog is pretty much the laughing stock of bigsoccer.
fair enough, but goff also says the rumors of him coming to mls are legit. mlsrumors simply speculates that kc would be a likely team seeing as we will be in need of a forward to replace eddie.
Geez, I'm glad I know that this is Jade's site now. Credibility is indeed out the window.... On the other hand, if Goff reports he is coming, I would tend to believe that. DC has already signed one new forward from Argentina....are they going to run out of international spots any time soon?
Goff gives it more credibility, but it's still complete speculation that he'd come here. Goff doesn't mention the teams that are interested in him.
Regardless of credibility (as if there must be any true credibility on a messageboard), it's good to see KC at least involved in something where a player of some note is coming in as opposed to out. It's been a while since Mo.
For the sake of replenishing the stores of historical memory, Mo was a washed-up has-been when he came to the Wiz. While here, he more or less re-invented his game and became the highly effective support forward we remember rather than the out-and-out goalscorer that had marked his career up to that point.
Yes, but he wasn't the last one by any means. So, too, were: Paul Rideout Carlos Marinelli Alexi Lalas Josh Wolff Eddie Johnson Richard Gough Tony Meola ------------------------- Chris Henderson Kevin Hartman (the last two more arguable than the others, though not from an MLS standpoint) All of the above had a multitude of caps at the international level, and/or (in the case of Marinelli and Rideout) were players that were certainly of note, particularly in the British Isles.
Goff link http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2008/02/on_the_grapevine.html Wow, that's surprising in my opinion. He'd definitely help make up the goals we lost when Eddie left.
First time on the computer and already learning how to spam. How cute. Claudio Lopez would answer some forward questions, and it would be great if we could get him in 08. Marinelli feeding him and Sealy working in front of goal? I like it.
Three words: Proven. Goal. Scorer. A lot of speculation of "he's past his prime", but he can FINISH. Not afraid of big games, not afraid of big names, and will bring in a big following. This is the kind of guy I was hoping we'd get. Name recognition, experience, and plenty of talent. If this actually happens, great job by the FO.
Wizards looking like Fulham USA- Too early for the "Wizards Argentina"? I don't know that I love the move- but I am really open to liking it
Interesting. Onalfo did say in that mlsnet video from the DC game that KC had Truijillo and then another possible striker. This could be good.
Goff updates and quotes one source as "this is going to happen." Also says that when asked, Curt Onalfo has "no comment." Not a denial but a no comment.
