A mighty fine way to spend an evening celebrating a RB loss: http://www.mlsnet.com/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20071004&content_id=121381&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp Congrats - explains the no drinking and smoking at CSB
It's not that we refuse the suggestion, it's just that we want to make sure it'll appear on her official ID exactly the way we intend it to: First Name : "TBD" Middle Name : Last Name : Hadley (And, I'm warning you, no jokes about "TBD" being a really cute/terrible name for a girl... )
Congrats Riz and Nattty. I have two of my own. 4 and 1. Both girls. Here is my baby shower gift for Natty:
About as likely as our letting RizBo become a MetroDonkeys supporter. Thank you to everyone for the kind wishes and congrats - y'all are good peeps.
But seriously, congratulations. I remember when my parents had my youngest brother and it was truly a blessing. Best of luck and see you in Lot 8!
Way to go, guys! The timing makes me wonder if it wonder if it was something like Marshall's tale of impregnating his wife after a tough United loss! And no, it can't be the water, because nobody is drinking that stuff!
According to the doctor's math, it happened around October 3rd. Which by my calculations is 24 hours after United went out to Chivas on goal difference in Sudamericana.
Congratulations Natty and Riz. My advice is to enjoy sleeping in, build your cash reserves, get a wholesale store membership for the million or so pampers, buy all luxury items this Christmas but most importantly of all be ready for the most amazing experience of your lives. My boy Liam turns 5 years old in January, he amazes me each day.
i'd be sure to just stay mellow, you'll get so damn much advice (much of it unsolicited) and there will always be "more to do" but don't worry about it. changing diapers, bathing and feeding are the main things you have to do and they are easy, though the hours suck and much effort will be expended you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do it.
and my one piece of unsolicited piece of advice: make sure all the kids sleepers/pjs are zipper, not snaps. ********ing with all those damn snaps in the middle of the night trying to get the kid back to sleep sucks.
surprngly it was -- it is a fifties technology From Wikipedia: The hook-loop fastener was invented in 1945 by Swiss engineer, George de Mestral. The idea came to him after he took a close look at the burrs (seeds) of burdock which kept sticking to his clothes and his dog's fur on their daily summer walks in the Alps. He examined their condition and saw the possibility of binding two materials reversibly in a simple fashion.[1][2] He developed the hook and loop fastener and submitted his idea for patent in 1951 and the patent was granted in 1955.[3] De Mestral named his invention "Velcro" after the French words velours, meaning 'velvet', and crochet, or 'hook'. The uses and applications of the product are numerous. Today, the trademark is the subject of more than 300 trademark registrations in over 159 countries.
