Ok I will listen to the final.

By the way when Mexican team play in Libertadores and Sudamericana games what commentators do they use. :)

the commentators are usually the ones from Argentina. However, for games involving Mexican teams, they use the Mexican commentators. At least I think that's how it goes, I could be wrong though

Indeed we argentines can't really complain about others since we have Closs & Niembro as poster boys of FOX Sports they are so biased either for Boca or for the random argentine side playing, of course it's prone to change depending the score, they also show some little bias towards mexican clubs for some reason. Hmm...

Yeah but Closs & Niembro at least admit when the other teams are playing better than Argentine teams. I remember when Colo-Colo was playing Gimnasia and how they criticized Gimnasia for trying to stop Colo-Colo's attractive attacking football with some dirty fouls. Your avarage Mexican commentator would be bitching about the ref no doubt.

Yeah they really love Colo-Colo. I remember them going crazy for Matias Fernandez in last year's Sudamericana. I can't imagine the Mexican commentars going crazy for a club that's not Mexican.

And they also yell gol when other teams score something that the Mexican commentators have trouble doing.

I happened to catch this little match the other day. Niembro and Closs were feeling fiesty . You could tell they had hard on's the entire first half when it was 1-1. To say that the argie commentators are totally unbiased is crap. They might be more unbiased next to most mexican commentators, thats for sure, but they're just as bad sometimes. Niembro was saying shit like " El Milan no es nada, no es nada, boka tomo el ritmo del partido y no es nada"..haha the nerve. Closs was like "vamos boka animo boka !!" c'mon guys act proffesional...we all know your boka fans.... keep your fan comments to yourself. You never hear the mexican commentators blantantly root for the mexican team out loud during a transmission. Sure the argies sing the gol when the other team scores..but i want them to put some passion into it..not the low end dull sounding gol..i want the loud proclaiming victory sounding gol that Closs is famous for. Niembro gave us another dose of class when he would acknowledge the ref as just " el mexicano"...he has a name fellas. So yea, i do agree that most mexican commentators need to change thier ways, but the argies can be just as obnoxious too.

Yes maybe you are right there, but during the Copa América in Venezuela some colombian dude out of the blue questioned Closs and Niembro bias due not being so excited when a "foreigner" scored against an argentine side, specially Boca.

I still think there can't be too much complains for the mexican commentator when we have Closs and Niembro, i bet people from other countries of South America hate to have them for the cup matches.

Ha..i remember that..the dude was like" digale a niembro y a closs que no se emocionen tanto cuando marca gol el boka ,que les puede dar un infarto de corazon " :D So its obvious to other southamericans too.

Total BS. I just watched the final and every goal scored by Milan was barely called. It was just mentioned and you could see how pissed the announcers were. I heard they didn't call the goals but I expect it to be the last goals, but even the first goal from Inzaghi was just barely mentioned. So spare me the bullshit. During the libertadores finals, they showed highlights from Boca old wins and they showed the game against Palmeiras that ended 2-2 and the argie announcer (not closs but the older guy they used to have) just shouted every boca goal and the palmeiras goals he just mentioned them with a low tone as if his dog had just died. Same stuff that happened with the CWC final.

I don't know if its wrong or right. Most of the time they root for their teams and of their audience which they cater to it. But the argentinean crew does it as well and its total BS to criticize mexican announcers for something they do themselves.

Do you have video of those Palmeiras goals?

Nimbro and Closs can be biased towards Boca and just Boca but they still always call the other teams goals and when they don't it's a rare rare occasion.

Here they are chanting Colo Colo's goals against Gimnasia like crazy:

    Caraca's goal against River:

Here's a video of Chiva's goleada against Boca narrated by Argentines calling out every single goal against Boca.

I'm not saying Closs and Niembro are saints. it could get annoying for non Boca fans but it's still a big difference from the Mexican commentators who seem to favor any Mexican team period. And the thing is that it's not just calling out goals. It's in the constant bitching and crying about the ref.

yep...for a second there i thought they were going to showe final of the Club WC with Mexican dudes....since the ref was Mexican......BTW....anyone want to bet how often the Mexicans would have bitched if THEY were the ones getting a goal disallowed by a SA ref? No., not even waiting for the proof or a replay, they STILL would have BITCHED about a dozen times throughout the game......

Exactly. I'd take Closs and Niembro over any Mexican commentator (that I know of).

mexican commentators, forget it but argies arent exactly saints either. I always notice a bit of bias and/or arrogant tones in their commentary. Me personally, I wouldnt mind Jim Lampley commentating :D
