my philosophy teacher is from Greece, and a huuuuge football fan. And told us of how when she was in university, her and a couple friends had tickets to a celtic/rangers match. they had seats in the celtic section, and her one friend decided he should take out his rangers shirt and put it on. she said he almost got killed.
Seriously man, why would they do that?? It's not just a football thing, it's religious...not a good combo. I say that, my dad is a Celtic fan.
You speak the truth my brother. I had a little blast of it on my mates 360 the other day. Called round his at 7 with a view for him and his house mate to go shoot some racks at the local tavern, didn't leave til half 9, cos I was havign too much fun and they didn't want to interupt me!
the image of that match would cast such a huge black cloud on the game that i honestly don't think soccer could recover from it for years. it still is a war there. i don't want it to happen but the thought was there for conversation.
Indeed. I am worried, everyone reckoned they will finish above us this year. Because the press are always right that means we're going to lose a ********load of matches in 2008
i think he is top 2. cech is the only one who i can safely say is better. timmy doesn't get enough credit for his ability as a keeper or professionalism. it seems he rarely makes a mistake on or off the pitch. if (and when) i have a kid, and he says i want to be like tim, there is not an ounce that would shudder at the comment.
Amen to that..He is an amazing guy, it was nice to see him play a couple of times up in person when he played in NY..Amazing guy off the field also being so generous stand up guy.
