Yesterday there was a very interesting report about this club on German tv. Simply coudn't believe to see Arab players waving the Israel flag after their Cup win in 2004.;) There was also an interview with a Jewish player who apparently is the star of that team.

My question is: Does this club has only Arab fans (with the Israelian citizenhip) or also Jewish supporters?

IMO this club is a positive model for normalization in the relationship between Israelis & Palestinians!

    Good night.

No, they are not a model, they boo the national anthem and wave arab flags, they definitely should be relegated.

I don't know where you get your information from. Bnei Sakhnin supporters during the match against Beitar Jerusalem this season were waiving red and white versions of the Israeli flag (club colours).

In regards to having Jewish supporters, they do have some from the neighboring villages and kibbutzim. They once had a little report on the on Israel10's main news program.

Thanx for the info. So it's not only a club for Arabs.

In that tv report I saw, it was also mentioned that they will get a new 15,000 capacity stadium and that their manager & chairman are Jewish.

    Really interesting story.

Most of their fans are Sachnin residents and Israeli Arabs but over the years they also gained quite a few Jewish fans from Kibutz's and villages in the north. they also have some Jewish players (including the captain) but they are still considerd as an "Arab" team.
if you like to know more about this club - there was a movie on their first Ligat Al season called (if i am not mistakin) "Sons of Sakhnin United"

    I agree with you.
and BTW Borussia - congratulations for "slaughtering" The 2nd Bundesliga... ;)

Toda. ;) It's good to see Roberto Colautti finally back after his injury and scoring his 1st goal in the 2nd match for us! :)

However, it's still a tough way until re-promotion ... especially since in this season the 2nd league is as strong as never before!
