Yeah, because AEG, one of the biggest concert and entertainment promotion companies in the world, committed themselves to a $100 -freaking-million stadium outside NYC before ever bothering to think about whether it was a "viable concert venue" The, suddenly, they realized that having a medium-sized outdoor concert venue adjacent to the largest city in the US was a really bad idea, right? You astonish me sometimes.
exactly. all my memories of crew or US games in cbus took place in the area theyve taken out. some of the best soccer experiences ive ever had...
Then can you explain if it's so valuable a venue to AEG as a concert venue, why they sold their controlling share of the stadium? When you have a better answer, I'll be waiting.
Back to things that matter, as I could care less about RedBall Park.... As I grew up in Scandinavia, I want THESE for next year:
Guess what: The fun that was had in Sam's Army and in the old 137 had very little to do with the location. It was the people that filled the area that made it a blast. When the US comes back, Sam's Army will fill up a couple sections and everyone will have the time of their life. Unless people's brains are programmed to only cheer from that exact location on the earth, it will still get crazy. Stop being so depressed.
yo guys what is up with the 103 union forum? I just checked it out and it's basically now a sex site. Interesting advertising boys! I like it. I likey alot.
That would be a nice. A huge one with like insignia's for all three or four supporters groups. It could cover that whole area during games because it's not like Keith Urban or whoever the hell plays there will be doing so during Crew games. Well one can hope anyways.
It's currently under re-development. Hopefully we'll have something to show for it in the next few weeks.
wow, didn't see this picture. It's alot worse then Hardhatmike's. We need to put all the supporters groups together to the right of that and come back with a venegenace next year. I'm pissed off.
What all is happening with the website? Who is doing the re-work? Cool to know that something is under way. Can we use that email list a little more to keep people informed of what is going on with the group, the website, the section for next year, etc. ??? Thanks Mike.
From what I understand, Kevin has taken control of the site from Steve and we're currently in the planning stages on how we want to re-work it. I'll give more info as it becomes available. We did have a lot of discussion about it in the car on the way back from DC Sunday. I'll send you a email tomorrow to give you the details.
Here's the Local 614, if so renamed, logo: PDF version The PDF is high-res and I left the editing capabilities on - so if you open it in Illustrator or Photoshop you can move the layers around etc. I did reduce the text to outlines so you don't need the font on your machine to open the file.
So which color combination do you guys want? I'm having an 8' by 10' flag made in the nordic cross style. Which do you prefer? I'm partial to the yellow field with the white cross over black.
I like the one with the black background. Can you mock one up with the cross white and the outline yellow?
Guess who's bored at work today? I heard mention of banners: HHM - I like the black background as well. It makes the yellow pop.
In Dallas, HSG opened the stage up during some games at the end of the year and offered $1 beer. We got hammered out there on that stage. It was a blast and the whole stadium can hear you.
