Over 60,000? Mamma mia, that's simply incredible and new season record!

What a shame I can't make the Munich trip this time (I have a music concert on Sunday) and have to miss the atmosphere and the meeting with @ footyfan :(

Keith, you have to promise to take a few great pics for me!!! ;)

PS: 60,000 in Munich, 54,000 in Mönchengladbach - that should be a new matchday attendance record in the second league!

    Same with me.

Plus, it's been SNOWING here in Garmisch since Friday night! It's been snowing up in Munich too, but I can't find anything saying the game is off...

It's gonna be a chilly one at the Allianz Arena today!

The good thing is, at least that will keep the beer cold! LOL!! ;)

What a pity I wasn't able to make the Munich trip this time with my Fürth mates. Must have been a great party for the 3,000 Kleeblatt fans! :)
Simply can't believe that Fürth managed to "humiliate" the Löwen 3:0 again (the same result as last season) in front of a 60,000 crowd...

How was the atmosphere at Allianz-Arena, Keith?

I think they had a nice time, but they didn't until about 45 minutes into the match....

What the f#ck are you talking about? Fuerth didn't "humiliate" 1860. They took their opportunities and 1860 paid for wasting theirs. 1860 were the better side through most of that match, they just didn't f#cking put the ball in the net and they paid for it.

It is very hard to point at any 3-0 match and say the losing team was "unlucky."

Yesterday, as far as I am concerned, that was exactly the case. Greuther Fuerth didn't have a real advantage in that match until Ghvinianidze got sent off.....

One goal from their first standard situation, I thought they got the second from either a bad defensive error or a player (I think Ghvinianidze) slipping and falling and the third because even being down 2-0 and down a man, 1860 never stopped going forward.

That was one of the best 3-0 matches I've seen in a long time.

Impressive. But it actually almost sucked that about 20,000 of the 60,000 were kids groups......

And I may never get a seat right next to the pitch again. I love those sections, but I think I'll get my seat about ten rows up the next time.

I was referring to the result.

So losing again at home 0:3 (like last season) in front of a 60,000 crowd isn't a humiliation in your eyes?

I didn't watch the game, but I've seen the summary on DSF. To be honest, I didn't see so many top chances from the Löwen (the only one was that chance from Göktan at the beginning, when he slipped). 1860 might have had more ball possession in the first half ... but from what I've seen, Fürth had the better chances (Lanig, Maierhofer).

I've read that they had no problems to control the game after the early 2:0 in the 2nd half. If I remember right, the Löwen player got sent off at the end of the match...

Btw: It seems that the "Stadionsprecher" was the same idiot as last season! But ok ... I've to thank him for motivating the Kleeblatt players even more! :p

The 1st half was disappointing (too many tactics & strong defences), but the 2nd half was very entertaining and worth of a derby! We dominated the start after the interval and deservedly took the lead. Then Köln's immediate answer after a free-kick ... and then 1 minute later the yellow/red for Mitreski and the incredible 1:2 for Cologne by a perfect counter-attack after a terrible mistake in our midfield. Daems' early equalizer followed just 2 minutes later ... and then we totally dominated the match in numerical superiority and missed a few good opportunities (still don't understand what Neuville thought in that scene when he tried to score with the "Hacke" instead of going past the keeper). We surely lost 2 points in the end ... nevertheless I can live very well with this draw, since Köln needed the win more than us.

What cheek from the DSF channel to switch off the mikes before the game  , so no wonder that the atmosphere was a lot better on "Premiere"!

Here's 2 match reports with statistics and the table:

    PS: 4 goals within 8 minutes ... that's really impressive, isn't it? :)

Hell no. You can't always tell what happened in a match by the final score. Same thing when BVB beat Bremen 3-0.

BVB only outplayed Bremen for about 20 minutes of that match. The rest was nearly all Bremen, but they just couldn't score. They were unlucky more than anything and until Mate G. got sent off, so was 1860.

Did they show the ones where Wolff slipped and a cross Wolff put in that Goektan just couldn't get to? You can't judge a match by a f#cking highlights show. They don't give you everything. Nor do they give you every chance.

You see Uwe, here is the difference. You are reading someone else's opinion and taking it as fact. I was there. My seat was on the front row. Practically on the pitch.

    I know what I saw.

Mate G. got sent off with ten minutes left to play. Greuther Fuerth did not score that third goal that truly put the match away until six minutes later!

That's another reason I found your "humiliation" comment ridiculous. Even after the sending off, 1860 did not make things easy for Greuther Fuerth and 1860 continued trying to attack. Greuther Fuerth were far from comfortable until they scored that third!

Sure, 1860 lost 3-0, but they didn't have a f#cking thing to be ashamed of. As I said in my first message, it is hard to point at a 3-0 match and say the losing team was "unlucky."

But in this case, 1860 truly was unlucky.......

I am not saying Greuther Fuerth did not deserve to win. No way. They played well and worked harder for it in the end.

To say they didn't deserve to win would be complete bullshit if I said that.

But they didn't f#cking "humiliate" anyone. They never had full control of that match until near the end.

Take that from someone who was close enough to spit on them and hear every word they were saying on my side of the pitch.

He was being an asshole with those "Nuernberg" comments. I totally agree there. There's no place for that shit.......

How I told you before, I was referring to the result ... and that must be some kind of humiliation (regarding to the rivalry, the attendance and the result from last season).

Btw: It seems that there's not much interest in this thread lately. Don't even know why Kyle doesn't post in the old Freiburg thread anymore. Pity.

Well I'm happy with the point. Been out of town and very busy with some projects around here.

Off to Zurich next week, and might see if I can catch a game at Freiburg for Kyle.

And like I told you, you can't always tell how a match went from the result. Sure, 1860 fans were angry, but "humiliated", I think not.

That score was very flattering for Greuther Fuerth and anyone who saw the match knows it.

I usually don't predict football/soccer results in forums.

You propose discussions in the prediction threads? Are you serious?

Btw: If I was a mod, I'd create an own section for the prediction threads.
