when i said us...i didn't mean just Freiburg, it's what i noticed from German fans i've talked to all over the country ;)

and what are you saying? i'm sick of your prejedice against Freiburg fans.
Freiburg used to get 10 000 away fans EVERY ********ing match, 20 000 for close matches!!! (that might even be better than Frankfurt...) you really don't know what you are saying...I think you are basing your knowledge from the last 3 years which is unfair...The team used to be just like Mainz in terms of support (just a lot bigger)

Obviously those "glory days" as Freiburg fans call them are long dead...the scene is improving at least....it just doesn't help that most of our Ultras are banned until 09

anyways...you really should watch some movies of Freiburg's history before you make such comments.
When i was in Freiburg, i watched several and it's really depressing to see scenes of the 90's and compare that to today.

allright, I got that wrong. my bad.

Dude, wtf?! I think you hit the "0" key once or twice too often... When did Freiburg ever take 10000 people anywhere? (not even to mention 20k) I have certainly been going to Football games a little longer then the last 3 years, and I have also seen numerous games against Freiburg, starting back in the 90s. (Once even KSC vs Freiburg). Usually the awaycrowd was a lot closer to 10 then 10000, and Frankfurt isnt exactly far from Freiurg either...

I dont have a prejudice against Freiburg Fans, actually I could hardly care less about them.
I just cant read that kinda bullshit and leave it standing without a comment... I dont know why you always try to act like Freiburg is a "big gun", in one league with clubs like Stuttgart and KSC and all... Its not, never has been, never will be. Accept that and you wont get anymore comments from my side...

What is there to watch in Freiburgs history? They came out of nowhere in the early 90s, played a couple of great seasons, everbody was suddenly a Freiburg Fan, then they dropped again and people didnt care about them anymore... Hardly material for a good movie if you aks me.

Freiburg's first match in the bundesliga...
over 20 000 Freiburger went to this match and made more noise than you could ever imagine...I saw the videos, so don't tell me i hit an extra 0 ;)
for those couple years the away support continued like that...Even during the first time we got relegated there were 18 000 Dauerkarten which was pretty much the whole stadium at the time.
Not many people really know what happened, the young generation of Freiburg i guess doesn't care so much about their team. (too many older fans as you have often joked about)

Like i've said many times...i think it's improving...Last season in Koeln, many fans said to the visiting Freiburger that they can't remember the last time they've seen such an atmosphere in the away section.

and what are you saying about KSC?
man this team isn't anything better than us...We've been a lot better than them for a few years...They play 2 good seasons in 2nd liga, and everyone thinks they are god-like...Jesus, i bet they'll have a great season this time but will probably be relegated next year after all the 1st liga hype is over.

aye, i wanted you to watch some of the movies so you can see what the support was like! not to preach the little history this club has...but ******** off with that, this history means the world to me - so don't insult it please.

    i'm hungover, need some water...have a good day ;)

    Nice choreos, Kyle.

Btw: I think you are wrong about SC Freiburg's fan potential for away games.

Man this discussion is pointless if you are just gonna throw random numbers out there like that. Its quite possible that Freiburg took lots and lots of people to the first game at Bayern. 20000 tough? whatever...
And no the away support didnt continue like that. Or maybe it has, and just everytime they played in Frankfurt 90% of the Fans stayed at home or wore their invisible-suites...*rolleyes*

It may be improving. There are some nice Choreos there. Congrats for apparently rocking Cologne, tough its hard to believe that all these Cologne Fans were so incredibly drunk in all the games against the likes of Dynamo, Dortmund, Gladbach or Frankfurt during the last years that they just forgot all about them... But what the heck, its Cologne, I wouldnt be surprised...

What I am saying about KSC is that the club and its Fanbase, alltough far from being one of the bigger ones is still on another level then Freiburg. You were better for a few years... they were better for the rest of time... KSC is one of the clubs that has allways and will allways come back at some point and then has the potential for a great era, alltough it will probably never constantly be up there. Thats clearly one league above Freiburg.

Well, you said I should watch movies about Freiburgs history... Frankly I dont care about Freiburgs history, no matter how important it is to you (alltough I completely understand that it is important to you)
Go ahead show me the movies of the support then. I would love to see 20000 Freiburger in one place...

I think that was the game with your largest away crowd ever, since it was the last season match and a very important one! The 2:0 victory in Duisburg saved you from relegation, whereas Nürnberg had to go down with the same amount of points after a 1:4 defeat in Dortmund.

20 000 Freiburg fans at that match (like there was at every close match like Bayern, Stuttgart, etc) around 10 000 for further matches...
and in those seasons around the mid 90's the away support in general was incredible.
late 90's things started going down hill and Doc's comments become a lot more truthful... and all the Finke bull shit and fan seperation started to take place which still is really effecting the fan scene.

You cant be serious... 20000 in that old Wedaustadion, that would have been like 80% of the stadium. (Im too lazy to look up how big exactly it was, but it wasnt all that much bigger than 20000) Thats certainly a nice away crowd (Borussia explained the reaons for it), but claiming it to be 20000 is just plain bullshit.

I didn´t know, that Freiburg even has so many fans. :p

Well, you can see, how social Bremen fans are.

    btw:
    2.BL: FC St.Pauli - SC Paderborn (2-1, last weekend)
Paderborn coach Holger Fach to the St.Pauli team manager after the match:
"Your fans are the most antisocial fans in the whole league.
I have never heard such savage chants before."

Well, i think the Pauli fans take it as a compliment. :D

the stadium had a capacity of over 30 000
and there were definately around 20 000 (i'll settle with the term more or LESS)
I saw the video from that match in one of Freiburg's first movies and it was just wild...As a Freiburg fan, i'm sure i'll never say anything like it was during the early and mid 90's...Obviously the events can really make a crowd get big... but i don't know why you tag bullshit when i say Freiburg's away crowds looked a lot like that for those few years.

Maybe 20 000 is an incorrect number, but that is what i got and even if it's not...******** it, that crowd would have sounded 5 times louder than 20 000 anyway ;)

I say its bullshit because Freiburgs Awaycrowds didnt look a lot like that in those years. As has been pointet out this was probably the biggest freiburg away-crowd ever, in any case its exceptionaly big tough for Freiburg standarts. Also it has been pointed out that the attendance of that game was 24000. So if you wanna tell me that 20000 Freiburgfans were at that game, you better show me pictures of complete red and black stands on both sides of the field and not only a picture that shows maybe 3000 or 4000 in the guestsection...
But I guess this is pointless, just stay in your bubble and keep on dreaming...

didn't i just say perhaps i got the number wrong?
it really doesn't matter...there were definately more Freiburger than Duisburger at that match, if not in number...than definately in voice

i'm half Italian who hates math... so numbers don't mean shit to me (watch Serie A, and you'll get it) so back off and stop being a prick...Just because you support mighty Eintracht Frankfurt... doesn't mean you can try to shit over any team with a weaker fan-base.

i'll ask my mate about the numbers....He was there
I watched the videos in German, and my German is not 100%...but trust me when you saw the full video, there was more red than blue in that stadium.

and it wasn't our biggest away crowd.

what does the team you support have to do with that?
well you seem to like to brag about your Eintracht support, which you have every right to do so being the best...But you also love to insult the Freiburg fan scene which really offends me being a part of that...When i was in Freiburg, i was with the supporters crew and all of the ultras who took me in to their homes... never let me pay for a beer and are no less passionate than Frankfurt ultras...Insulting them is insulting me also.

Freiburg's fan scene may be very small, but it's a really close community that has more than the numbers show.
