i never said their careers was over. but they are getting of the age where they need to be playing regularly for the first team.

Davies gets some praise from the fans for wasting time at the end of the game. (note: leading the game with 4-3)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbDZcI5qaAA (04.31)

That's all I could find with CD from this game, but then he only played like 10 minutes so.

Highlights (without Charlie as far as I know) can as always be found at http://www.viasatsport.se -> Klicka här för mer webb-tv -> Summering Hammarby - Gefle.

And as mentioned already; our top scorer Paulinho is suspended for the next game, and Davies competitors to take that spot weren't even in the troop yesterday, which could mean a place in the starting XI for him (let's hope he trains well). Could be interesting, Elfsborg away is our next game in Allsvenskan and they're a good team.

    Charlie wastes time like Eusebio.

Now all he has to do is to score like him.

Looks like Charlie is not in the line-up for today's UEFA Cup match.

Looks like Hammarby won today 2-1 over Braga.

Hopefully Charlie will be able to feature in the away leg.

Big win for Hammarby! They were certainly the underdogs! Braga are a quality side managed by the legend Jorge Costa who's on the managerial rise. The away leg is going to tough and it's unfortunate Hammarby gave up an away goal but this win could provide big motivation!

True, but Braga will have to win the game to advance so if Hammarby manages to keep the game even score we're "still in the running towards becoming the next..." (sorry, can't help my Tyra Banks fascination :)) ...team in the UEFA-cup group phase.

Don't think CD will get any significant playing time in the second leg, but there are two important matches in the league these coming weeks. Elfsborg away on Monday Sep. 24th at 7 p.m. CET, and IFK Gothenburg away on Monday Oct. 1st at 7 p.m. CET.

Paulinho (who had a hat trick last league game) is suspended for Monday's upcoming game against Elfsborg. So Charlie may get another league start.

It would be a tough test for Davies. Elfsborg are the defending champs and are very tough at home, and also are in the hunt to defend their title with only around 6 games left.

Or at least comes tantalizingly, achingly close.

On second thought, maybe you're right and we should simply root for an actual goal. Or two; three perhaps; four would be too much to hope for; forget about five ...

A goal it is. One. Now!

Just one? Isn't that what the white house spokespeople call the soft bigotry of low expectations? ;):D
I go into every YA game expecting our boys to score a hat trick. You may call me a dreamer...

Possibly, but - as Martin might say - before you can score your second goal you must score your first.

Or, as some new-agey guru figure might say, you have to score the goal "in here" [points knowingly to chest] before you can score the goal "out there" [gestures expansively].

Charlie is subbed out in the 66th minute.

    No goals today

According to the matchtracker, Charlie was again played as the loan striker in a 4-5-1, but it could've been a 4-4-1-1 with Andersson behind him. Still, from what little I know of Charlies actual game, he would seem better suited for the one in the withdrawn position

*Edit: Hed7181 beat me too it :), well see you all next game!*
